Hi All did anyone received a VISA after being in the Administrative Processing. Please share your experience to help us get an idea. The US embassy website the latest update states that it should be resolved within 120 Days (6 months basically) I think it used to be 2 months..

Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be a timeframe for AP- it can go on for years. Check out the Morocco message board and I’m sure you can find more country specific info there 🙂 at least see others experience in Morocco.

Yes I am aware of the DS5535 can take a long time. Is that means they can hold the passport for months years? Can we request the passport from the embassy after 2 months? Any advise?

They can and will hold the passport till the security clearance is done

they do not want you to travel in this time as that means additional information about traveling (what countries and dates , etc)

and means more security checks would need to be done thus extending the time of the ds5535

there is a section here for the ds5535

many are in this AP for a year

read their posts and even write and ask them

also a facebook posts about ds5535

and a Morocco facebook site for immigrants

but for now,  if you are patient,   you need to just wait it out

BTW (means by the way)  we were 6 years from 1st K1 (2009) to getting our IR1 visa (2015)

Morocco is not easy

this process is not fast

immigration is not cheap

and when the ds5535 is finished,  if is completes satisfactorly,  you will be requried to have a new medical exam as the requirement to travel to the US must be done within 6 months of the medical

allah yekbel

You can always ask for your Passport to be returned, people have lives to continue and AP can take time.
