Hi there,

I've met my fiance for more than 6 months and we're thinking to get married next July. I just started working for the first time in my life this month and i have two kids, do you think we'll get the visa or not? I'd be happy to give more information about our situation... Please help

 

If I don't make enough should I get a sponsor? My fiance would like to know if we should get a house?

if you don't make enough you should make a "joint sponsor". You're the main sponsor no matter what.

 

Personal advice? Don't marry someone who you only know for 6 months. How much time you spend together in person?

Sounds like your Fiance wants you to move if he talking about getting a house?

Regarding the timeline- you need in-person visits and face time.  What country is this from and how many times have you been together in person?

 

Regarding the income- NVC/ the US Embassy likes to see above the poverty line for your household size (so 4 including your potential husband) for the most recent tax year.  I do not know your salary, but since you just began work,  you are already missing paychecks and income from Jan and Feb.  That being said, you need to make sure your taxes display sufficient income for a 4-person household.  Also, another thing to note, if you just began working this year for the first time in your life, if they request transcripts from the past 3 years, you will not have sufficient income.  A joint/ co- sponsor will probably be needed in your case.

May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

There is no conformation that the OP has ever met there to be spouse, well in person.

 

Of course I am guessing but my money would be that they have yet to meet in person.
