Answer yourself this.. would a typical pakistani muslim man marry a wife 7 years older than him, previously divorced, and of a different religion if she were a Pakistani citizen? I've lived in South Asia, and the generic answer is no. 

 

You hooked up with a US CItizen online. That is how a CO, trained to recognize the culture in Pakistan, would look at this. Long odds to convince a CO.

So OP, once again I would STRONGLY encourage your fiance to come on this site and do some research

AS you must know, your relationship is not culturally normal

 

Although meeting on the first visit is probably ok, you will definitely need more than one visit after marriage if you have hopes of a smooth visa process, you have a few issues that you will need to overcome

Plus, she is on disability benefits and would need a joint sponsor.  How about her funds to finance her future visits to Pakistan?

 

OP, it's going to be a tough uphill battle for you to convince the consul officer at Islamabad to grant you a visa based on your relationship with your lady friend.  I wish you well and I hope you update us on your progress.

I have been spending too much time watching YouTube videos but some I came across did explain quite a few issues that I had not really understood.

 

We see it here on VJ, the consequences of significant change within not just US but other western cultures.

 

Can not help think that it would make for a good Doctoral Theses.

Well the ones I am thinking about and there are LOADS of them, are women in lets say post 30 who want to settle down and can not find a good man. Clock is ticking etc, actually for some the alarm has sounded.

 

And the male ones, who seem to go under the general name of MGTOW, who often have had an unpleasant experience with the family court  and certainly do not want to go there again and pick up the 'issues'.

Not that I know of, as is usual with YouTube you watch something that suggest something else and suddenly you have moved a long way from where you started.

 

He is certainly crude but not I have no knowledge of that, the second video which I think I came across because I had watched Independant man led me to it I think.

 

Basically she says the same thing without the crudity, well she says if memory serves me right the 2 biggest complaints were expectation and female friends.

 

I have a friend who was for some time on Match and I would hear the stories, he is in Construction makes good money, but it seemed to me that he was never going to meet the somewhat unrealistic expectations, and I have heard something similar from a friends girlfriend when she was talking about her friends and what they wanted, I assume they are now in their 40's and probably had a good time in their 20's but their time has gone.

I was watching a Beyonce music video once, and about half an hour later found myself watching videos about giraffes snuggling 😕 

 

I think both sides have unrealistic expectations...whether foreign or domestic partners.  Prince Charming and Barbie Doll proportions never really exist.  At least not common, anyhow.

Absolutely, the difference back then was most lived with it.

 

And of course in most Countries they still do.

 

I see the driving factors, not a right or wrong it is what it is.
