After my wife's interview, the CO gave her a 221g requesting a proper divorce certificate....she sent it the same day...I freaked out at first because the status changed to "Refused".....2 days later, it changed to "Issued".........a long AP would be difficult to endure.

It would, luckily you didn't have to wait too long, this process is indeed very difficult.

do not freak out,it s common with Casablanca embassy ,,in our case  we  waited little over a month before we got  visa in hand, but  yet i sent many emails, and we made 2 trips just to find out out that passport was sent to aramex and then was sent back to the embassy ,because the envelope  was opened ( who opened it I have no clue)   we are glad we are over with that !! just keep checking they do make mistakes though ! good luck.

Thanks to everyone for helping me stay calm. Our CEAC status today was changed to "issued," so now we're just hoping to get the actual passport back in the next few days.

Congratulations!  Just a note that the day our status changed to Issued, my fiance went to Aramex just to see if his passport was there by chance, even though ustraveldocs.com didn't show that visa was ready for pick up and Aramex didn't contact him, and it was there!

The person at Aramex didn't even show it was there yet in thier system, but for some reason his package and passport was there the same day status changed to Issued, so if you fiance can just go to Aramex and ask them to check, his passport may just already be there.  Don't wait to be contacted by Aramex.....

need some help please,

our petition was approved and we received an email from nvc stating that it was sent to the consulate in morocco on the 8th of January.

we have not heard from the consulate yet,

we are confused, do we file the ds 160 ?

or we have to wait for consulate to send us a letter ?

it has been a month and we are not sure how to proceed, please advice.

The American petitioner needs to email the embassy everyday requesting the interview. Include both your names, dates of birth, WAC and receipt numbers. Email ivcasablanca@state.gov

They never responded directly to the email, instead they sent me another email giving us the time, date and other information we would need after I had emailed for about two weeks.
