I believe border security is very popular with a great deal of Americans.  It might not be something popular to the Democrats, or Republicans in Congress or their Lobbyists or SuperPACs, but it is for the regular Americans.

I think President Trump already conceded that one and certainly 5.7 billion will not stretch from sea to sea.  But as Jim Acosta and most of the CBP officers on the ground, showed and tell us that barriers do work.  I know, we want to deploy drones so we can get an accurate census count of folks that made it across illegally.

  If the majority of Americans supported building a wall and if congress was willing to fund it, then yes it would be America's wall. I don't see either of those being the case yet.

I have been asking for the Democrat's plan for a lot longer.  All I ever get is "comprehensive immigration reform".  Now if you want to micromanage the DHS as to how they will be spending each penny, I think your are pushing the proverbial rope, but I do understand that the Administration has shown a fairly detailed plan to the owners of the shut-down (Chuck and Nancy).

Interesting, how do you know I am wealthy, do you have access to my financial information? 

 

I think the high level plan has already been shown, build more border barrier and update that barrier that already exists and is effective.  Now of course someone that knows a little about how our government works knows that this will involve acquiring some private property which takes time as many folks would prefer not to sell or are not happy with assessments so invoking eminent domain takes even more time.  In my opinion I would leave the areas where property owners will not cooperate and build the barriers up to those areas.

If our entire national budget was $45000 to put it in the perspective of a middle class family's budget the wall costs about $57. If my spouse wanted to shut down all of our household spending over an argument involving a $57 purchase that would be insanity.

I think the land owners who don't want to cooperate can just keep an open border on their property. Wonder where the illegals will come through when the rest of the wall is completed. Eventually they will be begging for a wall. Problem solved.

6 billion is but a raindrop in the ocean of our current debt and deficit.  It would be like you spending $50 on dinner for your family.
