Nvc case no. [merged threads]

So i just called nvc, its been 20 days since noa2, and she gave me case no and invoice no.

  Now does that mean case is recieved today? Because on last working day they still hadnt recieved case... so case is recieved and 2nd step case no is alloted today as well?

  Now the next step is case being sent to embassy?

There are 6 steps that the link on caec says we need to do before interview, should we start working on ds160 and those steps?

  We havnt received any email or letter from nvc do we need to wait for it?

What embassy?  Once the petition leaves NVC there are 140 different processes

  This link is on caec website when i check my case status( i think everyone gets it)do i need to follow this link or it is for spousal visas.

  The forms it says to fill i havnt heard on k1 forums before

No.  You do not interact with nvc anymore.  You do not choose an agent.  You follow the specific instructions for your embassy from your embassy

On caec case status website,  case is " at nvc" under immigrant visa 

 However if i select non immigrant visa, it asks which consulate and then it says case cannot be find.

Is it same for you other people too?

Even if the K-1 visa technically isn't an immigrant visa it's still treated as such at NVC and the embassy. That's why your case can't be found as non-immigrant.
