Hi Guys,

 

I am new to this blog...

My F2B Priority Date is 17th November 2014

Called USCIS - it will take more time still...within normal processing time they say

My mom about to be citizen, is there a point informing USCIS

PD has become current in visa bulletin thou but case not approved yet by USCIS...not sent to NVC

You can fill out a certain form to opt out of converting automatically to F1 if F2B is better for you once your mom becomes a citizen.

I called NVC today and got my case and invoice numbers.  Tried to select agent on CEAC but it' greyed out.  I'm thinking it's not activated yet.  Will try tomorrow.  No email yet from CEAC with the case creation info:

Hi guys.  I just got email that my son's documents were approved at NVC.  Next stop medical/interview, which everything is on lock down, so no clue when this will happen.

Thanks for letting us know but it is also very disappointing that they are only handling Oct 2015 cases now when PD is only a few months away. They should be approving 2017 cases at least. 

 

In any case, at least you are probably the first person I have seen in the last 6 months who got approved from CSC for F2B and could provide some info on what date they are handling. CSC has been really disappointing for F2B cases.

On oct 25, 2015 USCIS received my case. On apr 3 2020 they approved my case. I setup email alert on USCIS website so I can get notification everytime my case status is changed. I hasn’t received I-797 receipt yet, they said I will receive by 18 this month.

Hi whisky,

 

My brother is outside of US and waiting for F2B approval from California Center, his case was received on February 2016 and haven't been approved yet. Based on your approval date he should expect approval in coming months. My question is what is the next step after the case is approved? Do you need to fill any other form before you get I-797 or just wait for I-797 ?

F2b petition - my Mother in law petitioning her two adult (unmarried) children.  Priority date July 2015.  Her petition got approved.  They received the notice of Immigrant visa case creation and paid the AOS fee and IV fees ($120 and $325).   Should they start collecting the documents and send them to NVC?  or should they wait until their PDs get current?  Also, what are the documents needed from the petitioner?  can you help me out and link the civil docs needed?  Thanks in advance.
