I just passed my citizenship test and interview, my roc has been adjudicated as well at the same time, I front loaded when i submitted my ROC,so the interviewer said they will only interview me and left my spouse in the waiting room, since she said I have more than enough documents that have been submitted. I was also prepared enough today with original documents in case if it was needed,so when she saw my heavy case that i was carrying, she complimented me how well prepared I was. She only ask me 2 documents my appointment letter and my expired green card. During the intial start of the interview she stated right away shes gonna adjudicate first my ROC and then my n400, ask me 6 random question from history and civics and then she said Ive passed that first phase, then ask me to read a sentence in the ipad infront of you and then she ask me

to write down a sentence she said. Then what follows is the questionaries you answer in the N400,after that she stated your rights if u become an american and you sign and agree..then she said both application has been approve..now i just gotta wait for the card 10 year green card which she said should arrive by thursday and then my oath appointment letter. After that she said i will have to turn over that 10 year green card during the oath..

Finally this long journey is about to end..

Good for those of you who are still on this road..there is a light at the end of the tunnel

best wishes to everyone...

Signing off here

congrats!!!!

I HAD I751 WAIVER INTERVIEW ON APRIL 10, IT'S 18 DAYS ALREADY, STILL, NO RESPONSE, IS IT BECAUSE I WILL GET NEGATIVE ANSWER? I am really worried, please guide me.

I filed my I751 waiver in July 2017, and I got RFE in November 2018, And on April 10, 2019, I had an interview.

The interview was okay. In starting she told me to take the oath and then she saw my passport, DL, SS, and GC. Since I didn't get a stamp on my passport she told me I don't have legal status in the US. So I told her that I made an info pass appointment and ask them for the stamp but they told me to submit my expire GC. But for job search they usually ask for GC they don't accept stamp (because of last name different) and my lawyer also told her that in some place like DMV they don't accept extension letter also....so she agreed. After that, she asked me my Ex husband birthday, address, and divorce date. then she asked me for divorce document and she made a copy of that (we already submitted that but she couldn't find it) then I told her my story. She was listening. I told her that we lived in full family (inlaws, sister in law, me and Ex) And they were trying to create misunderstanding between us...for this I gave examples but she told that if they spent a lot of money for the wedding and to come to India then why should they do that? I explained to her that in our culture usually inlwas do that because they have a fear that if their son and daughter in law will be one and they will move in a different home then in their old life they will be alone. so usually they do that,.....but she was arguing and my lawyer also told that it's culture.......but anyway. Other than that she asked me how many rooms at my Ex's home (I gave her the right answer), how many bathrooms, how do we use common bathroom...? then after the interview, she came till gate and she told my lawyer that you will be good.

My lawyer also said "she was well prepared and looks like she was new. I did well, she just had trouble to understand the culture problem. But I will be fine. "

But I am afraid because she was asking the same question 4-5 times and I feel like she doesn't want to understand full family and Culture issue. It is almost 18 days from the interview, still nothing. What should I do? when Can I do services request "interview response out of time period" For the worst case what should I prepare? Please guide me. I am really nervous. I am blind. I don't know what should I do now?

Many times interviewing officers ask the same questions multiple times if you provide the same answers to determine if you are lying or hiding something which is why it is highly important to provide truth (or give the best applicable knowledges if you would have to guess, or you better have the cohesive answers that doesn't undermine your story) so i think that's a good sign.

I'm not sure when you can request the response but generally after 120 days with interview, you can request the follow up. Im sure your lawyers can help on that.

Good luck

Hi everyone,

I had submitted my n-400 last week after 22 months of waiting for the condition removal. I am aware that most of the June/July 2017 filers have received their gc, or even ctzn.

Also, I was waiting over the normal processing time without filing N400, so, I don't think there is a connection between these two waiting times.

Just got back from my interview and thought I would share my experience. I live in Rockford, which makes Chicago my service center. If you live in and around Chicago, the Blue line is your best bet as it gets off right by the service center. When I got inside, it felt like an airport terminal, had to remove shoes, belts and sweater (Chicago is always cold to me.) The guards are really friendly, they would ask what you're there for and they will direct you. Citizenship is on the second floor, join the line, there will be a line. Ensure you have your appointment letter ready when you get to the reception window. The receptionist stamped the letter and gave me a number with a door number. There are two seating areas 1 and 2, they will give you a side. I got door two, Officer Lin came out and called my number and escorted me into the room. Once we got to her office, she asked for my ID's so I gave her my expired green card and DL, she copied them and handed them back to me. She then went through my I-751asking questions about being outside of the US then approved it. We proceeded to the civics test asked 5 out of 10 questions then proceeded to the reading and writing test. If you studied for the civics test, you should have no problem. We went through my N400 application, asking all the criminal and gun questions. She printed out a sheet showing that the civic, written and oral test were passed. Then she printed out a document showing other documents I need to send in. It is pending approval because we have not received our tax documents as yet. My advice walk with all updated documents for eg bank statements showing that you're still in a true relationship. Light at the end of the tunnel.
