For I-751 Evidence, How Many Monthly Phone Bills Are Enough?

Just found out that AT&T only provides free online access to past 16 monthly bills. In our case, the earliest free bill covers the time period of Jun 2017. However, we got married in Sep 2016, my wife's removal of condition window opens on Oct 21, 2018. She got her own cell phone number (I have paid for both of ours) in Sep 2016 too.

 

Do you think the past 16 monthly bills are enough? or we better to pay AT&T and get all older bills?

 

And if anyone here has paid AT&T and got the older bills before, could you please let us know if AT&T emails the electronic copy or it's hardcopy only? and how long does it take to get the older bills from AT&T?

why are you sending phone bills for ROC?

 

you need proof of a bonafide marriage. intermingled finances, mortgage, bank accounts, insurance, wills, etc

 

(grabbed this off the interwebz somewhere)

• If you have children, copies of their birth certificates (these are an especially strong form of evidence).
• Documents showing joint ownership of assets or properties, such as insurance policies, tax returns, checking, savings, and investment accounts, and tax returns.
• Documents showing joint debts and liabilities, such as credit card, car loan, and utility bills.
• Apartment leases or home mortgages from places you have rented or owned as a couple.

Thank you! However, the cell phone bill has both our names and numbers on it and shows I pay for the two numbers. If you take a look at other members' posts here, you will see phone bills are common evidence used for I-751.

I just printed out ours and we use AT&T too. I tried to download and save the electronic copies from online since the beginning. However when I was assembling our package, I found out we still missed four months' copies and they were from more than 16 months' ago. Contacted AT&T last week online and they mailed me all four statements and waived the fees. They won't email you the statements, hardcopy only and it takes about a week to receive.

I believe USCIS is more interested in seeing the evidences that could also prove the duration of the marriage instead of just a single statement in each category. In general, the ones start from the beginning of your marriage are more powerful than just sending one from last month.

yeah, i mean i could see sending one from the beginning, middle and near to ROC but years of bills seems excessive to me. maybe im wrong. i dunno

Some people send in their statements quarterly and some send them all just to be safe. I think as long as the evidence you gathered are relevant and well organized,  there's nothing wrong with sending them in.

called ATT yesterday, got a service confirmation number, and was told that they will email me the old bills. However, since they're more than 16 month old, it is gonna take about 9-10 days before the electronic copy is sent.

lol Im the kinda crazy one, I actually printed every first page of the phone bills (with our names on it), not too much.😂
