Hello Guys

Good day  Just want to ask about USCIS Immigrant fee....

My case was Under IR-1

My Visa Was approved Got my Visa and now ready for CFO sticker and were about to plan to book a flight for me coming to the Us soon this month too...

Is it ok that we can just Pay my Immigrant fee a week after I arrive in the Us ???

My Husband planning to pay for it online week after I arrive in the Us

The immigrant Fee amounted 220 usd

But I want to be with my husband soon and coz if we do pay it right away it will affect for our booking, which means we need to wait next month again for my husband to book a flight for me 😰..

So now as I read in the instruction it said That we can pay for it after my arrival in the Us

But then they its said there too they preffer and its better for me to pay it first before my departure coming to Us.. So i am confuse what to do😰

But like i said I cant wait no more 😭

So I suggest my Husband to pay it after I arrive in the Us .

Do you think there would be no problem for that in the Port of Entry?? Or is it ok??

Hope anyone can give me information about this😰

So We could know the best thing to do before my husband book my flight .

Thank you so much

hi

the payment of the card has nothing to do with coming to the US, it won't affect your booking a ticket

you have your visa in the passport and your packet that's all you need,  your husband can pay for the card whenever he wants to, you will have a year to pay for the card

The government strongly urges you to pay the fee before you leave for the U.S. You will not get a green card until the fee is paid. Your husband can pay the $220 online. Why wait to pay it?

@WandY

We are also trying hopefully it works

We have lots of stuff to do this past few weeks

It affects our income to whats happening here in my place now as will with him there to his daughters accident and case

So thats why we choose to pay it a week after my arrival ... Just being impatient here😰 but if we can just pay it right there why not?? just asking to pay it a week after my arrival 😥 the timing time of his payday again, atleast i can be with my husband soon, cant wait no more weeks or months anymore its been 2years Ago this month since Ive been with my husband😰 ....

I hope it would be okay then...

Like @aleful said, you have up to 1 year after POE to pay the fee. For the fee, USCIS accepts credit cards. Also, it's an easy way to get credit card rewards, for applicable credit card programs.

Your Input Is Appreciated On This VJ Guide Proposal:
