Alien #

Hello everyone, I was wondering, at what point of the k1 process is an a # given. I ask because I just sent my file a month and a half ago and I just received a letter in the mail, 797c notice of case action but there's an alien#.

So in the box underneath the "Notice Date" that says "USCIS Alien Number" there's a number written? 

 

Has your fiance been to the US before that he was assigned a number? 

 

If not, I would be checking with USCIS....maybe his name is more common and another person with same name came up and their number was used.

This is an 797-C , this is what's confusing because I also thought Alien number's are only given toward the end of the process at NOA2 stage.

should have a case number unless moroccan has been here to get an alien number

at NVC stage the case number changes to CSBxxxxxxxxxx for the casa embassy

He has never been here, not clear on what this means. I will just call uscis, thank you.

means as mentioned above that his name came up as another person and yes,  you need to call

I got my NoA2 hard copy on Monday, well my fiancee did since she's the USC. On their is an Alien number, is that the number that's gonna be with me forever now? Lol kind of a big deal 😂
