Ok, so my cousin is dating a guy they have had a baby together they both born and live in the UK, the guy has been offered work in Canada starting from September, and he said he will get a house in Canada and then my cousin and her baby can move there after a year or two, my boyfriend lives in America and we will soon be going through the marriage visa process so I know alot about it, but what I find suspicious is that my cousin's boyfriend has been guaranteed a permanent residence by the employer and apparently he has had his visa interview over the phone, I am worried about the well being of my cousin I feel like they are being scammed, even if he does get a job there, is it possible for him to bring his girlfriend and baby over on a fiance visa when he only just moves there in September, how long would it take him to get a permanent residence and how long would it take after his permy residence would it take to be eligible to bring his girlfriend and baby there

I mean:

"Fiancé or Fiancee. The Canadian Government does not permit you to sponsor your fiancé(e), unless you qualify as a conjugal or common-law partner. "

I never heard about phone interviews for visas, but who knows - maybe Canada's immigration law is different.
