I read somewhere that they might kick you out if your not in their system. I just want to make sure that won’t happen.😅 so we don’t have to wait for packet 3 and can just set up the interview after he completes his ds160?

They won't kick you out, if you're not in their system yet you just won't be able to pay and book the interview. I'm also in transit but I'm booked

 

And yes, just do the ds160.

We are at 123% of the poverty guideline, while I know my savings cannot be used to self sponsor the K1, would it be possible to transfer some of them to my fiances savings account, or would that be a bad idea?

DOes anyone know how recent do translated papers need to be. Ours were translated back in December. Do we need more recent copies or are we good to use the same ones?

I believe you are ok with the December dated material BUT I would check here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Lebanon&cty=Beirut and the sub-forum for your region; blue ribbon at the top of the page, select forums, scroll 3/4 of the page down where you will find your region. Ask the experts there your specific question. I wouldn't depend on others who are processing through other Embassy's to have the answer what is required for yours.

Visa in hand. Picked it up today and flight is already booked. I guess I am done (for now) with the process.

Some individuals blacked out their SSN without a problem. I have never heard of anyone having a problem either way. So if you feel better then block it out. BTW a tax transcript from IRS is the preferred document for CO's at the interview and can be gotten once you log on to IRS. You print it at the same time and you won't have the bulkiness that you will have with a 1040 tax return.

Your Embassy has access to your social security number after all they are the US Government.

Have you called NVC to inquire about your case number?

 

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.

 

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

I get that I have to go with the envelope to the interview but I didn't know I had to send a copy of the envelope?? The Embassy want to verify that you have indeed completed the medical. So lay the envelop down on the copier and make a copy. Then turn that into a pdf and email it back to them.

 

I have my medical appointment on September 25th so that means I can't send the P3 before that date? Do I have to wait until after my appoitnment to send it? I'm so confused 😕 What does the P3 tell you to do?
