Hey guys, I am reading through your threat and I am wondering how long the ROC takes until it is approved?

Over a year for vsc, over a year and a half for csc right now. Who knows how it’s really going to be when our cases get adjudicated

But that collides with the window of opportunity for some to file for naturalization, right? How does that work? And can you still travel when it takes more than 12 months to work out the ROC?

Since June, they’re sending 18 month extension letters, so that will hopefully cover everyone until their cases are dealt with.

If roc is still pending but one is eligible for naturalization, one can just go ahead and apply. The case can’t be approved before roc, though. We’re seeing a lot of people having combo interviews, you can do a search here and there will be a lot of threads about filing concurrently.

Wow, 2+ years of being married goes quick.

I can only blame myself for being lazy and not submit ROC within the early weeks of 90 days prior to heg GC expiration.

But, nonetheless:

Submitted a solid, thick application and followed some examples listed on the forum.

I made it as simple and easy as possible for the adjudicator to flip over our files with corresponding table of contents.

You must have your extension letter with you when traveling out of the US as this now acts as your proof of residency in US. You will also need to get an I-551 stamp in your passport from your local USCIS office.

I do not think USCIS will stamp the passport if extension letter has not expired.

I have read where the officer at the local office stamped the passport and took the expired green card. The person was able to keep their extension letter.

Not sure why you quoted me on this response, especially since you edited the quote to leave only the other persons question.

and the stamp is not needed unless the extension letter is expired.
