The waiting is always such a stressful time! At least my GC doesn't expire until October, so there's time for me to deal with missing NOAs or Biometric Appointments.

if your check is cashed you can see your MSC # stamped on the back of the check.

Update. I called USCIS and talked to a tier 2. They said they don't see a NOA for me and that means they are still processing the fee waiver. It has been more than 30 days now. They said give them another week and call again.

 

I saw other people with fee waivers get approved with a small delay... there has been no movement for my case at all and my GC has expired :(

Don't know what else to do.

2011 - Met hubby online and became friends
Early 2013 - Confessed our love for each other * Late 2013 - I got pregnant with our daughter
2014 - Our baby was born in Athens, Greece and completed our family. We now have two boys and a girl!! 2013 - 2015 - Looking for jobs in Greece, none were available (due to socioeconomic crisis) 2015 - Decided only way to feed our family was to immigrate and started the process December 2015 - Got married (Greece has a LOT of red tape for foreigners marrying Greeks)
January 2016 - Finished gathering all documents and getting them translated
* * DCF in Athens, Greece * *
28th January 2016 - Finally filed I-130s
29th June - ISSUED!!!!!!1st July - Visa packages and passports delivered to DHL.4th July - Visas in hand! CU in two weeks USA!!
19th July- POE Detroit. All went well!! (excluding our screaming, jet lagged toddler!!)

 

After Arrival in the US

September 2016 - Hubby is diagnosed with congestive heart failure
October - February 2016 - Battle with drug use, overdosing, bringing home a tiny paycheck

March - July 2017 - I am working 80 hr weeks to make ends meet. Discovered hubby's affair. Still overdoses and is hospitalized. Has quit working all together.
July - October 2017 - Marriage counseling. Revealed hubby has "several" mental conditions. Is started on several mental meds.

October 2017 - Got accepted for a college course. Got better job to help raise my kids.

October 2017 - March 2018 - Situation at home is toxic. He files for divorce.

July 2018 - Divorce is final. I have full custody of our daughter.

 

ROC (GC expires July 19th 2018)

July 16th - Package for ROC is delivered to the CA service center (divorce waiver).

August 30th - NOA1 received with 18 month extension (fee waiver approved).

March 28th 2019 - Biometrics

August 8th 2019 - Case Approved No RFE No Interview - 10 year GC in production

N400 (Online - Detroit, MI office)
June 6th 2023 - Applied for naturalization under 5 year rule.
June 7th 2023 - Application received/Biometric will be reused.
June 16th - Interview scheduled.
July 27th - Upcoming interview.



**Our DCF journey to an IV took 5 months and 1 day from turning in the I-130 to getting "Issued"**

I use mostly google news and twitter. I follow a lot of news outlets and people related to the topic like USCIS, ACLU and so on, and so I'm usually up to date. Also I have cnn installed just to get their "breaking news" notifications in general. Google news has been the place where I've gotten the most information about immigration though. Because it's "smart", if you look enough times about immigration topics then you start to organically get more news about it without having to search for it. And finally in the google news app, you can search for USCIS to get the most updated stuff on the topic and then "favorite" it.

I sent a Wells Fargo money order and I from what I've seen, they don't offer a way to track it.

I had my biometrics appointment this morning at the USCIS office in Norfolk, VA. It was very fast and courteous, and the Officer who took care of me mentioned that it will take about 18 months to get the Green Card.

5/5/16 - AOS packet (I-485, I-765, I-131) sent

5/9/16 - USCIS received

5/16/16 - NOA x3

6/8/16 - Biometrics appointment

6/22/16 - RFIE issued

6/27/16 - RFIE received

7/14/16 - RFIE response sent back

7/26/16 - "Soft update" on I-765 and I-131 (case received, prior to that case numbers were invalid ), RFIE response received (change of case status)
8/8/16 - Service Request for I-765 submitted, not assigned

8/13/16 - I-765 and I-131 approved!

8/22/16 - Combo card received

9/26/16 - I-485 approved

10/5/16 - Green Card received

 

ROC:
7/6/18 - ROC packet sent
7/9/18 -  Arrival at Vermont Service Center

7/11/18 - Check cashed, NOA issued
7/16/18 - NOA 18 month extension letter received
8/15/18 - Biometrics Appointment
8/22/19 - I-751 Approved (no RFE, no interview, no transfer)

8/28/19 - Green Card received

Don't know what else to do.

Nothing but wait. Keep calling like they said. Csc takes longer to do everything overall.
