That website is no longer working for new cases.

what? I though that was the official website. It's the one it actually says in the letter to visit to 🤨 (it's not working right now because I'm sure they're updating things at the moment) but it usually works and it shows the typical "Error" message when I introduce my case number. I read the thread and didn't see any other websites. Now I'm confused

It’s been quite a while they switched to a new website but I have no clue why they keep that on their letters.

I myself already posted the new website twice and there should be one more post with it. You can search the thread or so a search on vj, google should work too.

Oh my god this is horrible. However it says it starts today September 11 for new cases.

“This updated guidance is effective September 11, 2018 and applies to all applications, petitions, and requests received after the effective date.”

The Laguna Niguel location received our I-751 July 6th. They still have not cashed the check or show our application on file. The tier2 agent told us that our state now needs to send the application to a different location, but our package was likely already sent there. But of course, there's no time table for when they will get to it.

I'm nervous because my wife's green card will expire in 10 days. As of now, we don't have proof that we filed on time. (Does my USPS receipt and screen shot of it being delivered count as proof?) Has anyone else dealing with this location heard this before? I'm struggling trying to decide if I should just wait it out, or hire a lawyer and file through him at a new location. Please help!

Had the biometric appointment scheduled for next week. Since we were going to be out of the country at that time, we did a walk-in the same day we got the letter. In and out in less than 15 minutes.

As far as tracking progress on the 2 websites:

I still had notifications turned on on the "old" website and actually received a note that "fingerprint review was completed..."

The next day the newer website showed the same thing.

Go figure...

Does anyone know if there is any issue to travel abroad with my GC + extension letter? Anyone had any issues to return? I have an upcoming business trip and wanted to prepare myself beforehand. Someone suggested getting the stamp on my passport but for that USCIS would retain my expired GC which I think is worse. Any suggestions?

You should be fine.. I just got back from a vacation and my green is due to expire in a week. The machine didn't accept my GC as it stated that the expiring date was to close soI went ahead in line and showed the officer my GC plus my extension letter, he insisted that he didn't need the extension letter now since my GC wasn't expired just yet but if I do go abroad again to make sure to have my extension letter + Expired Green Card. He didn't mention anything about stamped Passport.. also there's a whole topic dedicated to travelling with expired GC here in VJ you can read through people's experience..

So you should be fine

Both the websites are absolutely fine and working. Just that the one on the letter will show an error until there is some action already happening in your case(for e.g: a biometrics letter recvd, etc..) It was the same situation when i was waiting for my Interview letter for GC way back in 2016. So there is nothing to WORRY!! Also if you are legal appliers there is nothing to worry about what Trump says or does. Just relax and channel positive energy. It will happen when it has to happen, no amount of worrying and quicken the process. :)😎

Recently, does USCIS still waive the biometric appointment for I-751 applicants?
If USCIS waives your biometric appointment, will they notice you or just let you keep waiting?
Thanks!

👆 Let's go to this thread to discuss the timelines in Nebraska (LIN) center! 👆
