Are we able to schedule and interview and medical after we get the case number or is it best to wait until the conuslate recieves it. Or does it vary depending on where it's going?

Varies, but usually best to wait until your case says "Ready".

Finally scheduled an interview. I dont know what my fiancee did, but he was forced with a date that he did not pick. Which was so strange lol... so now we have to pick up the pace because the date is now two weeks earlier than expected.

Good god, medicals in London are crazy. I thought I'd book because I saw the dates on here being quite late. So even if the consulate hasn't received my case,  but the earliest appointment they had was the 29th June and there is a 2 page cancellation list. Looks like I'm going to be cutting everything very fine!!

Wth....

That's great! Two weeks earlier than expected! I'm 1 week new to the group, would you be able to explain the process of how the forced interview date came about? Did your fiance receive packet 3 and then along with that came the interview date he HAD to take?

Well for the Nigerian Embassy it is quite strange... We emailed the consulate and requested packet 3.. we got packet 3 electronically... then filled out ds160.. did medical... then paid then scheduled... on the nigerian interview website it said first available appointment was the 6th,.. the picked the 18th initially.. but for some reason when he went to confirm it went to the 6th... we really didnt do anything.

Every Embassy handles it differently.  Best is to go to your country's portal here and see how they handle the process.

Was my thought exactly when I phoned through... @EllyNelly How is your process going?

What number did you call? We tried calling the number listed on the forum for U.K. but it just kept ringing, nobody picked up. We tried 3 times. :S

we we don’t have our case number yet, we are hoping to get it next week, but wanted to see if we could book our appointment now and give them our case number whenever we got it.

idk if that would work.

im so annoyed that they are booked up until then! My fiancé and I were planning on flying back home to the USA together but now we won’t be able to because my 6month U.K. visa will be expired by then. :( dang.

Hey. I have a question. Did you have to wait till you get a NVC case number, Before you can send an email to the consulate for packet 3?

Oh no :( They won't book you without the case number though... they ask for it when you book in. The number however though is 02074867822. When did you get your NOA2?

I am so frustrated!! I called NVC and they assigned us a case id startung with LND wtfff

Even though in our petition and both notuce of actions states Islamabad!

My fiance's current address at the time of filing the petition was UK .. seriously pissed off. And also their disregard to rectify this misktake further pisses me off. The case id was created today and it's at NVC.. why can't they fix this.

Any advice will be helpful.

This probably put us behind a week or more. Ahhhhhh

Sorry for my rant and thank you for reading my post
