Also, did they state they got your money? I see you sent it out AFTER you sent the package? Almost 99% of the time, anything sent to be added to a package does not make it with the package. Did someone advice you to send the money after the package had been sent?

If they didn't send your check back, then you will probably need to send a check with this package. They won't process anything without payment.

They sent the check back, attached with the original packet that I sent. So that's a plus at least.

Yes, I sent a letter with the check explaining and apologizing for forgetting it in the original. Luckily they pieced them together as it was sent back to me all together. I'm combing through it much more thoroughly this time before sending it again. I used the check list before, I just didn't think the copy of my husband's permanent resident card was a requirement (and if I remember correctly, he had lost his wallet at the time so we didn't even have it until he found it while we were moving, which was after I sent the package). It's been such a mess of a situation, so it has me all kinds of stressed out. But I'm so glad I found this website years ago when this all started. We'd never have made it this far without all of you ♡  *Fingers crossed*

So I was just crossing through the POE at between the Windsor, Canada and Detroit, USA border and I presented my unexpired green card with a photocopy of my I-797 (which I just received a couple days ago). 

1) He asked me what the letter was - I replied it is a one-year extension of my green card. He then replied why do you have an extension for an unexpired green card. I then explained that for a conditional green card, the GC holder has to apply for to remove the conditions up to 90 days before it expires (in which I did) and hence I just received my extension.
2) He then went on to that it is illegal for me to be travelling with a photocopy of the I-797 (he also mentioned I could be fined) and that I should have the original. I was not aware of this and I actually don't think that is factual (from what I understand, you can travel with a copy). Does anyone actually know the answer to this??? I just told the US CBP officer that I would destroy it when I got home but I don't think this is correct that I can present with a photocopy and keep the original in a safe place (worse comes to worse, I go into secondary). 

Now to vent....I am consistently baffled how untrained, unprofessional, and unknowledgeable about immigration laws our front-line officials are - this applies to both Canada and the USA. It is completely unacceptable and should be reprimanded and corrected.

Well, surprise, just randomly logged into our bank account, our check of $680 is showing pending as of today, 6/10/2018.  Never been so eager for someone to take my money lol...

Thank you N and S. I am worried though because we didn't have any pictures because my husband had some serious health issues last year and we were focused on that and couldn't socialize etc and take pics. I did explain that in the cover letter. Otherwise our evidence is strong though so I don't know... just hoping it is enough.

Looks like csc is pick up the pace I logged in my  bank and $680 is pending.... I also check my email on Usps(also scans what mail is coming in) and I do see my NOA1 (I’m sure it is) gonna be deliver later this afternoon
