More and more people within our case number are getting their cases moved to another center. I’d keep an eye out for new letters.

hello,

I just checked my online mail delivery account, in my surprise, I saw a letter from USCIS. it could be the biometric appointment letter, or biometric waived letter. I will let you know guys, I am in May filler for I 751.

thanks

Hi, how exactly you set up for online mail delivery account with USCIS? I have online account where I have added paper filed case but it is not showing any update? Please advise. Thanks.

Looking at the app, it still tells me it can't recognize my case number but the cases around mine start moving or have the fingerprints reviewed.

Do you have any idea what could be the reason?

When I check my status here it tells me no update (even though I got the biometrics letter).

Service Center: California Service Center

Transferred? No

Some people just get missed and their cases not updated either by human or computer error. My number isn’t reading either but others are. The only update I have on the newer website (the app uses the older website info) is cased recieved, and we have already gotten our biometrics waiver.

i have seen some people say that their case NEVER got updated online past showing their case was received and they heard nothing until they got mail from USCIS saying they were approved.

I received a letter today saying that my case was moved to the Potomac Service Center. I didn't even know there is a service center there. It doesn't have a processing time estimate for I-751 on USCIS's website.

Also received a letter that they don't need my biometrics and will use older ones 2 weeks ago.

Theyre trying to even out the work load, so places that typically don’t deal with our cases are going to now, which is why there is no estimated time.

YUP, sounds like my case.

Mine hasn't been updated since they received it, even after I got my biometrics done last July *shrug*

Had biometrics/fingerprints done today in Detroit - took all of 15 minutes... hopefully this moves the process along and I can have my 10-year card soon....crossing the US-Canada border with this extra paperwork is burdensome (especially when the CBP agents don't know what it is)...

Me too, I have never received any updates even when I had set up on the account. I know that the system is supposed to send you an update every week or so even when no changes has been made, maybe they got it working now.

I'm really hoping this is signal that our files are being "touched" by the adjudicators loading up their next work batch.....what do you think @GBOS?

@Downloader - Bitter sweet.  It is an inactivity alert.  It is a default if you have an account on the new website (which is the website this alert is coming from).  The inactivity alert is sent out once every other week, and it was on Thursday previously, now it is on Wednesday.

Thanks @GBOS, I know, that's why I said they "got it working now" as it never worked for me before even when I had it set up properly.

Weird as everything with USCIS, we can just either speculate or assume based on others experiences.

@GBOS My package was received on May 4 and Notice Date is June 5, am I considered May or June filer for USCIS?

My N-400 window opens up at the end of this month but I'm debating with the idea as I guess I can see an approval in the next weeks/months opposing to send my file to NBC and deal with getting stamps once my 18 letter expires...advise please?

Thank in advance!

You must be a CSC filer for the gap to be that far between package delivery date and notice date.  VSC did not have such delay last year during that period.  Anyway, "Received Date" is used by USCIS to prioritize your case.  In CSC situation, what happened was there a gap of file numbers because a lot of files were not entered as they are received, but rather they were all entered within two weeks when the data entry backlog was resolved.  So some of you, CSC filers, may have the same WAC18XXX batch number, but your received date is probably different (I am unsure on this, but logically it appears to be what happens from the two I have seen).

Regarding N-400, it depends on your local office.  If you are one of the fast-processing offices, I would say go ahead and file N-400, that will speed up the total processing time (I-751 + N-400), but you are to expect a combined interview and you will be required to bring your spouse with you to the interview.  Some people do not have that flexibility to have his/her spouse take a day off the job at USCIS's mercy.
