The date of the appointment will be month and a half from cc . And a Appointment letter will be not more then 10 days from cc . I been seeing ppl from different countries and with Potomac . And they are going pretty quick . All of them . Maybe I am wrong ... but that’s what I believe it is . And earlier waiting time was double at nvc , and now they cut it in a half , it all makes it quicker .

There is no standard for when you will get the appointment letter. It all depends on when NVC schedules interviews, and that is dependent on when the consulate releases their available dates. The USCIS service centre is irrelevant now. It is true, however, that NVC is working faster on case complete. But interview date can take longer if the consulates are busy. If they aren't busy, your estimate is pretty good.

Just when I thought it was over. Ughhh..... Recieved an email from NVC stating that my wife needs Police Clearance from Bolivia. The DOS site says it's available yet it also states "Must be obtained personally and present current and valid Bolivian ID". My wife is NOT a current resident so does not have a current and valid Bolivian ID. The Bolivian consulate in Uruguay said they cannot help her and that she needs to go in person. She lived there for 3 years about 15 years ago. Has anyone ran into a similar conundrum? Anyone have any thoughts or know how to obtain this PCC non local?

PS

I called NVC but got the usual scripted response which is basically the same thing they state on DOS web site.

OMG! Even after getting CC they send out mails like this? :(
My status shows 'At NVC'. So, still there is a chance that I might get mails like these? :o

Don't worry, everything will be alright for you. Hope for the best! :)
