i did my own i130 and i485 about 4 and a half years ago and just took a little over 6 months to have my green card. But from what I read somewhere else not too long ago, the time now goes up to 9-12 months. So you will have a little wait to do. But Itll be fast given they are here already and 1 year is not that bad anyway.

06/12/2018: Received RFE requesting for a Birth Certificate for both parents

07/28/2018: Responded to RFE, sent their non availability of birth certificate copy

08/02/2018: Online status changed to " Request for Evidence was Received"

08/29/2018: Made an info pass appointment requesting for expediting Travel document as parents had to travel India. Expedite request was rejected 

09/14/2018: I131 Parole document was Approved

From what I know, current processing time is around 8 months. So yours is about 4 months away from approval (NOA2).

Texas Service Center has generally been the fastest over the past 1.5 years or so, closely followed by Potomac. 6 months was the average for I-130's and they are keeping up with the same timeline wher

Hi Nevin,

Just to give you an idea:

My sister-in-law petitioned I-130 and I-485 for both her parents just like you. USCIS received her petition beginning of February 2018 and her parents just had their interview, end of May 2018.

Wow that was quick. Thanks for letting me know junior11. Any idea which service center was their case transfered to? My parents is National benefits center

Unfortunately I don’t know, but they reside in TX, if that helps at all

Just FYI - As you may already know all concurrent I-130/I485 go to Natl. Benefits Ctr. for initial processing - the actual approvals then come from the local USCIS office and the interview timeline is all dependent on the speed of the local USCIS office, not a national service center of the USCIS.

My humble suggestion:

All concurrent filers can fill the “service center” in the chart as NBC, like Nevin did. So the consular processing applicants can be differentiated, you know. Come interview time, instead of “consulate” they can put their local office (city) where the interview took place.

Can someone please update the chart with my data? 🙏🏻

 

My mom’s priority date is March 29th, at Nebraska. I can’t remember the sent and received dates, but you can put March 25th and April 2nd.
