I will include the W2 with the tax returns. I also submitted the tax returns online so i have the cover page from Turbo Tax that shows when it was submitted and the email from the IRS saying it was accepted. I can also include the screen shot from my bank account that shows my refund amount. do you think that might work? i'd hate to get an RFE because i didn't send the transcript though even with that proof. dilemma. 

You'll be surprised that you can register an account online with IRS and download your transcript in just 5 minutes.

yes, I tried that route, but, when I entered my cell number for the code it kept error'ing out saying they couldn't verify my name with the number. I think it's because I'm under a family plan and not the main account holder. Boooooo......

Just popping into this thread because we'll be filing our ROC this month (probably within the next two weeks or so). We had this same issue with the IRS. You can get around this issue by having them send a confirmation code via mail. It took about 5 days, but once done, you can get access to the account that way. Additionally you can also request they just send a paper transcript to your home, this took about 10 days.

Awe!!! Sorry for that! I am not the account holder as well. I remembered IRS system didn't let me register couple years ago. Are you the tax payer or spouse listed in your tax return? If your spouse is tax payer, please try the other name instead.

Well, we mailed in our ROC package on Friday. It should be delivered today. Now the waiting begins. Good luck to everyone! Is there a google docs for the April 2018 filers? I saw in previous month filers they have that tracking sheet.

About to file in a week or two, but I have a question about joint tax filing.

I think the deadline to file is the 17th, I have my W2 from work but my wife (US citizen) did not have an income for the year. Do we still file jointly? Which form tax form do we use?

05/31/2016 - got a text and an email notification that the interview was scheduled for June 30.

Mailed husband’s package today (4/9/18) with all of our evidence. It should arrive by Friday. He was eligible to file on 3/19. Also, lit a prayer candle tonight....here we go!

Checking account being debited today for $680 so I hope that means package was accepted without issue. No sign of NOA1 yet; hopefully it follows soon!

How did you make out the check? Does it help if the check is from a joint checking account?

I made out the check like it said on the form: U.S. Department of Homeland Security. I had to write really small to fit it all in! LOL. 

 

Ours was from a joint checking but that's all we have. I doubt it mattered whether it was joint or individual for the payment purposes. From an evidence standpoint it probably helps.
