My photo looks more like a mugshot. Lol. If I have known, I would’ve fixed myself a little. I thought they’re going to use the one we submitted.

We recieved our RFIE from USCIS on Monday - it was regarding my partners taxes! Pretty easy fix. 

 

We sent back our response over night via Fed Ex. Fed Ex tracker states that USCIS signed for our documents at 10.30am this morning.

 

I still haven’t recieved EAD/AP so I’m praying that they get around to my case ASAP. 

 

I still cant quite believe my luck with this whole process haha

 

An RFIE issued 6 and a half months after filing with no EAD/AP - Ahh I hope I’m at the end of all of this now! I wonder how long I will have to wait for response?!

They sent it Tuesday the 25th of September and I recieved it on Monday October 1st

I didn’t think it took that long to be fair. I received the notification on the Tuesday afternoon that it had been mailed and I recieved it in the mail on Monday. So techinically only 4-5 day. 

 

It also think mailing times depend on where you live. I live in Michigan.

Because we just contacted the Congressman yesterday and today they gave us a RFE. I am sure if we didn’t contact congressman , nobody will look into my case at all..

I requested for a new Social security card when I applied for EAD. It’s been week since my EAD was approved (got my EAD card yesterday) and still no sign of SS card. 😌

 

When did you guys get your Social Security cards?

Hey peeps !! 

Map i got my RFE last week and send the response packet in a day later. They needed the 1040 tax return for the affidavit of support (which we already did sent in at the beginning but oh well). 

Easy fix and the packet is sent and received. Fingers crossed. 

 

Now, it’s been 157 days since my work permit application was received. Do I qualify for an inquiry? It still days received and I wonder if it’s out of normal processing times.

I looked it up, current processing times are 4-6 months

so my guess is that you qualify for an inquiry after 6 months...

Does submitting case inquire outside of normal processing times really do make them work on your case a priority? My received date is on the 24th of April.

I think that depends on the staff who works at USCIS. But if you ask help for this through the congressional request. I believe it will make it faster response for them to handle your case.
