Ok, great! I am praying that the last of us all receive some news this week.

 

It’s funny because I was one of the last ones in the January 2017 K1 thread to be approved. In fact - I was out of processing times back then and had to send in a request.

 

I wonder what I’m doing wrong? Haha

When I filed for AOS, I made a mistake by not submitting it organized. I didn’t use folders or anything. I only used paper clips and sent them to FedEx in one envelope.

 

However, USCIS took my case and I’m ready to be scheduled for interview since June. Do you think this is why my EAD is processing slower than the others?

It’s crazy guys! Yesterday morning I was so sad and desperate you should see me (I have reasons to travel), I found this topic, thank you JloveN 👏 and joined you guys!

 

And yesterday evening (same day!) I was sitting on the bench and decided to check my status and Oh My God!!!!! It was approved! 😍  🤸‍♀️

Here is my F2A timeline for I-485/131/765 (case center: NBC)

I-130 PD is 10/21/2016 and approved on 11/21/2017.

 

4/18/2018: received date

4/23/2018: notice date

5/17/2018: biometrics appointment (location: San Jose, CA)

8/14/2018: case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

9/14/2018 at 8pm PST: I-765/131 is approved (149days)

 

Now hope the interview can be scheduled soon

We have the same timeline! Except I had to do my biometrics on June 13th because the notice was not delivered to my apartment and I’m ready to be scheduled for interview on June 19th.

 

Waiting for my EAD to be approved is exhausting.

I still haven’t heard anything and I used paper clips too! Haha

just received the letter with the AOS interview date!

 

about the medical examination (I-693): it says "unless already submitted". what we submitted was the vaccination documentation worksheet (DS-3025 - the thing they gave when I completed the medical in Argentina). we never received an RFE so we thought there wasn't any problem. are we OK with what we already have? or should I do another medical, or what..?

Guys, I've got my EAD & AP combo card as well as the SSN today 9/18/2018...

 

...BUT at our PREVIOUS address mailbox!!! @.@ LUCKILY, somehow we did manage to get them from the old apartment mailbox which was 15 mins away from where we are currently living. Therefore, I'd strongly recommend that, in case you are about to move and you're 100% sure of the new address where you're moving to, you should start to submit the address change request online 7 days before your actual moving date so the new address can be completely updated into USCIS system, thus to avoid such terrible inconvenience as shared above.

 

Below is my journey obtaining the EAD, AP & SSN so far. Next chapter, Green Card! 

 

For those awaiting for your EAD & AP card, just be patient and optimistic, they'll be coming very soon, surprisingly!

05/24/2018 Biometrics appointment, Brooklyn, NY - Day 27

07/17/2018 Case update: "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" I-485 - Day 81

08/31/2018 Address change request successfully submitted online - Day 126 

09/10/2018 EAD & AP approval notice - Day 136 

09/14/2018 EAD & AP card picked up, 1st SMS notification from USCIS - Day 140 

09/18/2018 EAD & AP card, and SSN received - Day 144

Thank you!!! One EAD-AP combo plastic card from USCIS and one SSN paper card from SSA in two different envelopes.
