I'd like to thank everyone here, especially Hank and Greenbaum.  The information was amazing.  Rose and the kids interviews are scheduled for April 17 while I will be with them in Manila.  The NOA2 (March 8) took 9 months and 7 days and I could have scheduled the interview as early as April 5 so less than a month from USCIS to interview.  Wow.  I'm blown away.  I am really thankful for all the help.  I hope that someday I can do the same as this process can be confusing and frustrating at times.

Congratz folks!  Other than NOA1 date, we're running at the same speed.  Our NOA2 was a week before, Interview on April 10.  Medical was done this last week.

It is indeed a challenging process.  Happy you're looking at the light at the other end of the tunnel.

Are you still dizzy from things moving so fast?

I think you have a very good handle on what needs to be done and you are doing it!

If I do have a good handle it is completely due to the information from VisaConnection and this site.

By looking at your timeline it appears your case may have been a little more complicated then most, with needing the various police clearances and an RFE to boot! But congratulations on making it to the interview session, it really does go much smoother now. Got plans for your wedding set up already?

After waiting 9 months and 7 days for NOA2, we have decided to just not plan anything until they have VOH!  There are still many places for that "gotcha" to get me.  I will be there for the interview barring any issues with medical.  If all goes well, they will be in Chicago in early May.

I would recommend going to the CFO office asap because that organization is sometimes a problem.   CFO certificate could take weeks...potentially.

Rose already did her CFO.  Only IR/CR spouses and K-1 fiancées can do CFO without the VOH.  We have no choice with the kids as we cannot even schedule them before they have their passports with the visa in it.  We will schedule the peer counseling the same day they have VOH.

Most have no issue with CFO.   Meek or timid tend to garner attention much as blood in the water attracts a shark.

Rose's original appointment was a month out but we didn't care at the time because we knew we had a long wait for NOA2.  The kids may be a couple weeks out but they will need that time for packing and saying good byes anyway.  Rose did mention that she was told that they will find a spot for the peer counseling since the visas are already issued and she already did GCP.  We will see what happens when they have VOH.  So far everything is moving very smoothly, especially on the Philippines schedule and lifestyle.
