Yeah probably not likely to get same day, but they do at least 2 oaths a day Mon-Thurs as far as I can tell so I don’t think you’ll be waiting too long. My actual interview only took about 5 minutes, but I sat in there with the officer chatting for 40 minutes while she tried to get her computer to work! So maybe you’ll have some luck there 🙂

One thing I did which helped speed things up was print an addendum (for part 9.3 on the form) with the 2 trips id taken since my application was sent. She just added it to the file instead of having to hand write all the information out, so that saved some time.

Good luck, I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

To add to the addendum for the trips. I also took our list, but the officer did not ask for it. He just asked have you taken any trips outside since you applied? And, total number of trips. Attaching the template I used.

I'm not sure if anyone who has finished their citizenship/immigration journey reads this message (since they probably have left this thread), but please let me know if there is anything I should know for my upcoming interview!  :reading:

Remember to take updated evidence for I-751 ie, tax returns since you filed (you probably won't need much if you loaded your original filing).

If the office destroyed your green card during an infopass appointment, let your IO know. They will make you sign a form stating that you have not applied for replacement.

Don't be nervous, you'll do great!

I didn’t have an interview for my I-751 so can’t speak to that, but the naturalization interview was the most straightforward interaction I’ve ever had with USCIS (aside from the long waits, both getting the interview and in the waiting room!).

Take all your documents (even though you probably won’t need them), and have a read through your n400 form because you’ll be asked those questions verbally again, so you should answer the same way as you filled in. Good luck!

Can I come in earlier than my scheduled time? Like if I was scheduled for 10 am, and I come in 8 am (or even 9 am), will I be accommodated earlier? Just wondering if they are strict with the time of day appointments. I'd like to avoid traffic if I could. Thanks.

I have seen them turn people away if you show up that early. The parking lot does not allow in/out privileges. So it might make sense to go to a nearby Starbucks and enter approx 30 mins or so before your appointment time. I've shown up about 30 mins or so before my appointment times and went in without a hitch.

My IO asked me to show her our joint condo ownership certificate since I told her that we bought a condo 1.5 years ago.

I also showed her our 2017 joint tax return transcript.   :joy:

My interview is tomorrow. Hopefully I get same-day oath, as my interview is at 10-ish.

Can I bring anyone with me while I am interviewed (are they allowed in the building and wait for the interview to be over)?

Also with oath taking, can someone be there with me? I am thinking of my wife. Thanks in advance.

You can bring them in both for the interview and oath ceremony. During the interview, they will wait in the waiting room. Interview for N400 is just about you and not your Significant Other. Oath ceremony family members are welcomed :)

Good Luck.You are nearly there!
