  1. Great! Very chill. I was really lucky and had a fantastic officer. The civics questions were the scariest part for me (I get test anxiety), but everything else was ok.

At was at the same ceremony! I was second to last (or maybe last) called. I loved that she quoted Obama instead of Trump - it made me feel better about the ceremony. 🙂

Hey, guys! I had my interview and my oath ceremony today. It went really well, and everyone was very kind. The only awkward thing was watching a video during the ceremony starring the Great Orange Jerk (also a music video of the lame song they play at his rallies). Besides that, it was short and sweet. The keynote speaker was really cool, and stressed that we are not second class citizens and how hard our journey was to get to this point. So, yeah, the Seattle office is really great even though it’s painfully backlogged. Hang in there, you will make it. ❤️
  4. Reading this post fills me with so much relief. My interview is tomorrow and I’m so nervous I can’t even concentrate. I’ve been waiting so long and I’m scared I’ll mess it up. 😰

I’ll be the blonde with purple glasses trying not to throw-up from nerves! 😅

Sure! I applied in July 2017, and had my biometrics done in August 2017. I had been in line for an interview since August 2017. I got a notification on September 5 that my interview had been scheduled, and I received my actual notice yesterday in the mail.

That’s my interview date too! 😀
  8. I can confirm! I’m a July 2017 n400 filer in Seattle. I got my notification on September 5th that my interview has been scheduled, and I got the physical letter in the mail yesterday. My appointment is on October 11th! 🙂
  9. Whoa! What?! I hate to be intrusive, but may I ask what happened?
  10. Hello, I’m so sorry to hear your case is undecided. My lawyer warned me that not getting approved during the interview is the “new normal” and not to fret over it too much (though it is terribly frustrating). Just remember that you’re in the home stretch and you’ll be done with this journey soon! Hang in there! ❤️

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to share that I got a status update yesterday about my case. My interview has been scheduled, and they’re sending me the time and date in the mail. It looks like they’re finally getting to July-August 2017 cases! So hang in there! ❤️
  12. There are massive delays all around, unfortunately. You can always check your case status on the USCIS website to get a rough timeline estimate. Hang in there! 🙂
  13. I think they mean 30 days until your biometrics appointment notification. However, depending on the office it could be a longer wait period.
  14. Columbia City, Seattle! Yeah, even if I am a little behind that’s ok. I’m just happy to see cases moving forward. The office seemed to grind to a halt for a bit.
