We applied in April, have been "ready to be scheduled" since May, but have not received an interview or notice yet

Newark filer here. My PD is March 2018. According to USCIS processing times, we should expect our interview to be by late January. However, another Newark filer got his interview notice already for late December.

We'll be out of the country for New Year's and most of January so I hope USCIS processing times are accurate or we'll have to reschedule lol

I would suggest signing up to the my.uscis portal for notifications. Online and via email. This way you get notified should you be traveling and need to make any changes. You will refeive the interview letter a month prior to your interview. Know that they will give ypu a time, but they dont really follow or are strict with the time. Mine was scheduled at 9 am. We got there arpund 8.15 and they had started letting people in. There is a metal detector and dont let you bring in any liquids. Not even milk for babies ( I had my 1 year old with me). 

They send a list of items to bring as well, basically what you submitted for the application and any new evidence to show your marriage is true. We gave new bills and taxes files jointly. Didnt give anymore than what they asked for. Same for questions, straight answers.

That's funny. We are also going back to Argentina from the end of December and all of January too  I am kind of expecting the interview to fall in that time frame also, soooo like you, hopefully we can reschedule!

We filed April 19th

Approved August 24th

Received September 7th

Hey guys! Jerseyan here lol. I filed my AOS back in April and got hubbys EAD this past Oct. However the 485 had been at “ready to interview” since July soooo waiting is a understatement over here. 🙄 Our field office is Newark. 

 

Our state is this 👌🏾 small. It should not be taking this long, but what can I do besides wait? Good luck to everyone!

Just wait. The process used to be much shorter, however with the new administration came longer waiting times.

I hear ya! We also filed in April, but we have been "ready to interview" since May!!  You are so right-- would think it would take this long in such a small state??
