Thanks for the info - I have my oath on 6/24, I've read about the long lines!

Great to hear about being able to apply for the passport there and then and not having to schedule an appointment with the passport office across the road.

Just wondering, is there any difference between the mailed oath notice and the notice uploaded to your USCIS online account? Thanks

I read everywhere you should be 45 min before the ceremony starts.

I got a little note attached with the Oath Ceremony notification that I had to be at Sauder Village OH by 9.30am and the ceremony is at 11am... so I am expecting a large ceremony. Just hope where my hubby stands he can see me lol

Forgot to mention, don't forget to update your Social Security Status there is a about 2 weeks before you can go into the office to update. but I did see on the bottom of my notification that you can do passport, voting registration and Social Security at the Ceremony.

Here is a question.. Through the time you have been in the States how often have you been asked show your Greencard?

@ProudlyConfused

Hope you have a lovely day at your Oath Ceremony, hope it will be a memorable one for you. Congrats

Thanks!

I had my ceremony yesterday, it was great! All in all 80 of us took the oath from 40 countries.

The only item that threw me off was the letter started 09:30, we arrived there at 8am to play it safe and all, and the ceremony only started at 11am - which was a bit tough on my kids who REALLY wanted a snack!

The judge and the teams there were great

I finally got my second Oath date, it is going to happen on July 15th. I am so happy I did not have to wait too long :D

I also have to be there at 9.30. Does everybody have to stay in the court until 11 then or can we get out for a snack etc?

hi guys,

I may ask what is the timeline between biometrics and interview schedule?

I had my biometrics last July 1 at Detroit ASC, I am planning  to go out of the country for 3 weeks but I don't know when to expect my interview schedule.

Hi there, Just thought I would pop in and let you know I had my Ceremony at Sauder Village Ohio on 4th July and it was lovely.  Even had my photo taken with the judge who is a local of ours. Sat next to another Aussie there was 4 of us.  They seated us alphabetically stuck in the back row. Local TV crews were there.   I did expect more security (as in checking your bags and such)  although there were two USCIS Officers the lady was officiating and the other one I was watch was keeping an eye on the crowd.  I filled in the back of my appointment sheet while listening to instructions for the day. I made a few mistakes but they told us to just cross it out and initial the mistake.  I can officially say, "I AM DONE!" 3 days shy of 7 months waiting.     Good luck to all, we all know for some it is not a pleasant journey but the end results is what we all end up sighing a big relief that USCIS will be a distant memory.😀🙋‍♀️        Off to watch Women's World Cup Final U.S. vs Netherlands. Go the Red White and Blue.
