I had my interview this morning, and we were APPROVED!! What a feeling!! The interview part was the easiest part of the whole process! I will be moving to Washington D.C. on July 30!! Such an emotional day!! I am so grateful for this forum and all the help I've found here!! Thank you to everyone who has shown positive energy and to those who took the time to share information or experiences!! I am still crying with happiness!!! <3 

 

 

P.S. There was a girl today who didn't have a W2 with her, and didn't have the correct police report, but she still got approved, pending the resubmission of a proper police report. It's not as scary as people on here make it seem. They aren't out to just stamp people denied. They worked with her and didn't just deny her because she made a mistake. It's actually a very kind, professional experience!! 

K-1 Visa AOS Timeline:

Date format is MM/DD/YY

 

10/18/18 - Sent AOS Package to Chicago

10/25/18 - USCIS took AOS fee (credit card payment)

10/30/18 - NOA1 Text Messages Received

11/02/18 - Biometrics Appointment Letter & NOA1 Hard Copies Received

11/13/18 - Biometrics Appointment

11/13/18 - Received RFIE (forgot to include husband’s full tax return)

11/13/18 - AOS status updated to "On November 13, We Sent You A Request For Initial Evidence"

11/29/18 - RFIE response delivered to USCIS

03/25/19 - AOS status updated to "Ready To Be Scheduled For Interview"

04/02/19 - AOS status updated to "Interview Was Scheduled"

04/04/19 - Received Interview Letter

05/07/19 - Green Card Interview - Baltimore (did not get on the spot approval)

05/07/19 - AOS status updated to "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"

05/29/19 - EAD status updated to "New Card Is Being Produced"

06/01/19 - EAD & AP 1-797 hard copies received

06/02/19 - EAD status updated to "Card Was Mailed To Me"

06/03/19 - Received updated SSN card with married name.

I love kind women!! 

 

This is a group of women I met at the Consulate this morning. Some of them are on this forum as well. We chatted and waited outside together to be let in, we all went up together, and we were the first 6 to be called for our interviews, and we were all approved! We all waited for each other to be finished and we took this pic outside afterwards! We hugged, we cried and we shared a true moment of happiness!!! What a special picture!! ♥️

So I wanted to update you all on how things are going.

 

I am moving to the US in 11 days - I was approved a good few months ago and had the interview which was in all honesty, a breeze. 

 

I wanted to extend a huge thanks to all those who helped me with questions over the last 6 months and also to VJ for being a truly awesome support group! Thank you. 

 

So now al I have to do is fly out on the 15h and get married in the next 5 or 6 weeks. AHHHH more paperwork awaits.

Hello, fellow VJ members.

 

I am happy to tell you that I was approved my visa after more than 2 months of waiting on ''Administrative Processing''.

 

This is the happiest day me and my fiancee had in a long time.

 

Thank you so much for all the help! We are probably one of the last folks that were still waiting from August.
