The K1 is a nonimmigrant visa with immigrant intent, so it's different than an immigrant visa.

^ This is your new religious text for the next few weeks. 
Check CEAC and wait until it says "Ready" with your case number and an 01 LND after it (for example LND2018000000 01LND),
Once ready:

1) Schedule Medical
2) Complete DS-160

3) Complete Applicant Readiness form on embassy website
4) Schedule interview with link on website & pay the fee

We didn't. We picked April 24th. There were maybe 1 or 2 earlier ones? But too early to get from S. Yorkshire to London.

Even though our case was "Ready" at the embassy on March 28th, I just received the email from NVC today (7 minutes ago, to be exact).

If you've scheduled anything but not gotten an email from NVC yet, don't panic.

We just received our email today too... I had to chase last week to ask for it, so I was curious if that triggered it. It sounds like NVC are still catching up with a backlog (our case was READY on 21st March).

Thank you so much. I'm in the States right now and booked my ticket to go back for the interview. I got a round trip for $300 as opposed to a one way ticket which for some reason was $2000+. I chose 10th May for the return date and I thought I'd left sufficient time for everything to be completed, but seeing your dates now I think I may have cut it a bit too close. NVC received our case on 29th March so lets hope by some miracle of god I can complete this process within the next 5 weeks.

Yaaaaayyyy! 

The problem is we never called nvc for our case number (lazy fiance - scared me). We also never received an email/mail from nvc with our case number and in the embassy email there is not our case number. 

Is it normal? 

We basically found out our case is ready without ever knowing it was even assigned a case number to it in the first place. 

What should we do? Any suggestions is really appreciated. Thanks!

Body: Petitioner's Complete Name Birthday ; Beneficiary's Complete Name Birthday and the request for a hard copy of your case number.

You need at least 5 working days for your medical to get couriered to the embassy, and around 2 weeks to get your passport back with the visa and packet. I'm the US petitioner. My fiancé and I played it safe and left 2 weeks between medical and interview JUST in case, by some act of God, that medical results didn't arrive in time, and potentially avoid more delays.

It's always better to leave more breathing room than less when it comes to all this.

’IN TRANSIT’   To ‘READY’ to fill and SUBMIT ONLINE FORM DS160 ?? 

Or we can submit it online and then wait for nvc to send packet 3 ??

You have to wait until it says "Ready" for DS-160.
It only took my case 5 days to go from "At NVC" to "Ready," and two of those days were weekend days. Just hang tight!

Ohhh 😮 but we already submitted ds160 online yesterday night 🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐 it gave us application id🤐 now it shows from in transit to no status 😳

Just take a breath. Call NVC. See what they say.

This is gonna come across in the wrong tone because it's text, but this is why they tell you to wait for instructions before carrying on if they give you the number over the phone. It's honestly so that you don't lose your mind in case something funky happens!

It may be something or it may be nothing at all. Just give them a call and see what happens. It's better to catch a potential mistake early.

I have just received my first email from NVC.  They have received my file!  Not bad.  It only took 13 days to notify me about something I knew.

actually now it says you are ready too book interview lol 😂 

but the thing is when i do non immigrant visa and fill montreal then it shows me no status but now i filled immigrant visa on tracker it says you are ready to book interview lol it’s funny n so confusing 😬🤭🤭🤭🤭

We are crazy and drove 5 hours to Ankara overnight for my fiance's medical interview. The appt was only 14 hours after we got his NVC number. We may have set some kind of record
