Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

 

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third. :bonk:

Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!

Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.

If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process smile.png That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.

12/28/2019: 18 month Extension has expired
1/9/2020: InfoPass Appt to get stamp in Passport
2/27/2020: Combo Interview (ROC and Citizenship)
3/31/2020: submitted service request for being pass normal processing time
4/7/2020: Card being produced
4/8/2020: Approved
4/10/2020: Card mailed
4/15/2020: 10 year green card received
 
 
N-400
5/21/2019: Filed Online
5/21/2019: NOA1 Date
6/13/2019: Biometrics Appt
2/27/2020: Citizenship Interview
4/7/2020: In queue for Oath Ceremony to be scheduled
6/19/2020: Notice Oath Ceremony scheduled

everybody getting cc and interviews while still waiting for case # 6 weeks later...

4/12/17 - NOA1 Sent to Nebraska

1/10/18 - NOA2

1/18/18 - Case Sent to Department of State

1/25/18 - NVC received case

3/30/18 - Case # and IIN assigned

3/30/18 - Paid AOS and IV fee

4/9/18 - AOS and IV fee Status Changed to Paid

4/9/18 - Submit DS 260 and uploaded AOS and IV package

4/16/18 - Case complete

5/7/18 - Received interview email 

6/4/18 - Interview @ 7am at ISL embassy - Approved :jest:

Wait. Waiting for case number??? Or waiting for NVC to receive? It did take me 6 weeks for my file to get from USCIS to NVC.. then 3 weeks for case number to be assigned.

Happy to say! IV fee was invoiced today! DS260 submitted! Friday AOS & IV packages will be heading over to NVC. How long is it taking from Scan Date to Case Complete?

from what im reading online around 3 weeks but depends on case...

Have you called?? I called 3 weeks after waiting and was able to get my case number over the phone. 3 weeks from SC to CC not bad.

Got my case and invoice number last 2/22 after exactly 7 weeks of waiting after it arrived from USCIS. I’m a pivot case that’s why I was able to pay aos and iv fee at the same time and after a day, submitted the I864ez, tax transcript and civil documents all at the same time. Now waiting for the next move ....... any idea...?

i call everyday they say we sent to supervisor feb 12 and were busy

NVC received my case on Feb 15th. I call today, they told me I will get my case number anytime now, but yesterday they said give them another week since they r behind. Hope We will hear good news from them.

NSC

NOA1: 03 JUL 2017

NOA2: 31 JAN 2018

NVC RECEIVED: FEB 15 2018

CASE #: MAR 21 2018

DS261: MAR 24 2018

AOS PAY: MAR 27 2018, "PAID" MAR 29 2018

IV PAY: MAR 29 2018

SD: APR 05 2018

CC: APR 17 2018
