EAD Expedite Timeline After Fax Request

My EAD has been active for 112 days now. I called on the 27th Sept to request an expedite based on a pending job offer and financial hardship. The guy on the phone said my case would be assigned to an officer. I have not heard anything since, no updates online that it has been assigned. 2 days ago I got an email saying we have reviewed your case and there are no updates at this time (6th time getting this email since I started my application)

 

Should I call to find out what is happening or just continue to wait?

The same thing happened to me so I rang them. I requested an expediate on the 26th sept, and I rang them on Wednesday. They advised that a letter had been sent requesting proof on the 28th. Nothing has been updated on my uscis tracker. I also had an alter advising no changes on Monday. 

I would give them a call.

I did call about 30min ago and was told a letter was mailed on the 28th requesting proof. I said I haven't got anything and the lady said if I have not got anything by the end of the month to call them back. That's 3 weeks away, the job is not going to wait a month for me to get back to them. There is nothing else we can do though.

I am in the exact same boat. It seems that it’s takes about a month from the initial call. And then up to 10 days to get the card in hand. 

Im hoping that the letter comes today. 

I also contacted the congressman’s office but they seems to slow also. But will press onto them when I get the letter.

Our mail has been delivered already but we have informed delivery and knew It wasn't coming today, I still had hope but nothing yet. I am sure we will get it next week though. It' can't possibly take more than 5 working days for the post office to deliver it. I had mail delivered 2 days ago that arrived today. 😕

Most have received it in 5. Mail from uscis normally takes about 8-10 days for it to get me! Hoping it comes today!

Mine came yesterday. The post didn’t come until 5pm! But now contemplating if I should fax everything off today or Monday or both. When will you be sending yours?

We're 2 hours away from home this weekend but we don't have a fax at home anyway so hubby will need to send it at work on Monday. Are you including any documents to show financial hardship or just the job offer and the letter.

I’m sending both as the letter Requests both. 

Have you contacted your congressman?

Well I just got home as a storm changed our away from home plans and read the letter. It doesn't ask for any information. It just says I requested a expedite and says "The status of this service request is: your case is currently under review and you should receive a notice of other action shortly" 

 

I was hoping it was the letter requesting the evidence but it's just more delays.

thats strange. Have you read up on the forum what that may mean?

I just grabbed mine and it says about my “case has been reviewed and a determination was made that we need additional information to make a decision regarding your request. Please fax evidence from your potential employer on official company letterhead as well as evidence of your severe financial loss to the following number ....”

I will have to do a search and see if anything comes up. 

 

Excuse the mess, I opened it on the stove and forgot I put stove cleaner on the stove so it's all oily but anyway...

Thanks for that, based on that conversation it sounds like a stalling tactic and I am going to have to wait for the officer to pick up my case and then send me the letter requesting evidence. So it sounds like a stalling tactic to me.
