Hi Guys! Just a quick update. We got married at the end of June. I filed for AOS, EAD and AP in July. I sent my package via USPS and they lost it. I then made up a new package and sent it via UPS and cancelled the cheque included in the first package. USPS somehow then magically delivered the first package without even knowing it and after I requested return to sender of you do find it. So USCIS received 2 applications from me and one had a cancelled cheque. As you can imagine it was a whole story and I’m still not 100% sure that everyone is on the same page.

Anyway, I received receipts for the second package on the 6th of August and went for biometrics on the 26th of August. Since then I’ve just been waiting again. My USCIS account only says fingerprint review was completed.

I had some trouble getting a drivers license. They wanted to see a document with a date until when I’m allowed to stay in the US. The receipts meant nothing to them and my visa an I94 already expired. After a fight with the supervisor, he granted me a license for 12 months from date of marriage. I’m in Illinois

Just wanted to check, when waiting for EAD and AOS can you only track your status on your USCIS account or is there maybe another way to do it?

I saw snow for the first time in my life today!

Hope everyone is doing well!

My AOS is ready to be scheduled for an interview as of yesterday 😃

Hello I am about to start the k1 visa process with my fiance in USA we are currently teachers in South Korea and we will be leaving soon, I have a question about police clearances or criminal background checks. I have been in South Korea for two years, I know I need two police clearances from South African and South Korea. My question is:

Do I need to get my South Korean or South African police clearances apostilled?

Please, if anyone has been though this situation with police clearances, especially ones from countries other than South Africa, can you please help me understand more.

Hi, you need to give them the original and a copy when you go for your interview. Doesn’t need to be apostilled because you will have the original there. Mark all the documents with a sticky note or something as original or copy.

We just received our I-485 interview letter...... December 11th in Tucson AZ!  Soooooo Excited!  Hope all is well with everyone.  One of these days we should really consider getting a group together for a big meet up and cookout!

I would call as close to 8am EST as possible. I called at about 11am EST and requested to speak to a tier 2 agent and they connect you through but its basically like a callback request and you leave your details etc. My estimated wait was at 6 and half hours and it was pretty accurate, but I'm sure it'd be sooner if you called closer to 8am!
