Hi, how did the interview go?

What was the hold up to your interview date? your I-129F was approved quickly but the date of the interview seems a bit long? care to give a fellow south African some advice?

KyleB22, you're right, after approval we waited for packet 4..the interview date took longer because we wanted to be ready with all documents for interview. We needed to gather a few documents.

Police Clearance and Unabridged Birth Certificate took longer than expected. My fiance' was in the states with me so we waited for her UBC before flying her back for the Police Clearance. Ended up using the full 6 months of her B1/B2.

Vistawateraz, thanks for the update, I tried to make the process shorter by already applying for my police clearance which only took 4 weeks, and i'm 4 weeks in waiting for birth certificate, my fiance has gathered all the financial support docs already, waiting on the NOA2 approval now... what were the soonest available dates for interview that you could have chosen?

The interview dates are hit and miss.. You'll need to keep checking the appointment site daily when you're ready to schedule. The date we chose was the earliest we could get after she was back in SA. If we would have had the UBC and Police Clearance last year, we would have been done with this last November!!

Well all I can say is welcome to Africa, sometimes that's where it's at, hit and miss! I must admit the PCC is really quick recently, 4 weeks and I had mine and that's the common trend of late. But thanks for the info! much appreciated! I am still awaiting NOA2 day 111 now... we'll get there! Regards

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
