The freedom was fun while it lasted! Now back in the game again for RoC. I filed my I-751 today, it should reach California by Thurs 2/8. I used Priority Mail with tracking (it weighed a whopping 3lbs 8oz) cost $16.45.

I've updated this table commonly used below with the two filers who've confirmed. I've asked mods to close another thread with the same title and merge here. Good luck everyone!

Just sent away my package on Monday ! I think the actual sending of the packet is the most stressful of this process. As it was supposed to be delivered yesterday and it's late. Least we have a 90 day window

Good to see another NOA1 recipient. It appears USCIS is turning these around fairly promptly.

I agree with you. Panic sets in once all your hard work leaves your possession and you trust the postal service to deliver it, then for USCIS to process it correctly. That NOA1 is the immediate oxygen we all seek!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! Maybe we will get a NOA1 today as a present on love day! :)

Question for all the peeps who already received their NOA1, if you wrote a check did it clear in your bank account before your NOA1 or after you received it in the mail? I keep checking my bank to see if our check cleared but nothing yet. Just curious as to how long it takes for them to cash it. Thanks!

If you're like me and want to know as soon as a letter drops into my box what it is, I found out USPS offer a service called "Informed Delivery" which scans your mail and sends you an email or text on what to expect delivered. It's something of a revelation to me, as I had not heard of it before, and what's more, it is completely free! https://informeddelivery.usps.com/ It's not available in every zip code, but I would encourage anyone with similar "mailbox anxiety" to try to sign up :)

Thanks for this! My wife signed up today.

Still no NOA1 (jealous of you other 5 Feb filers that got yours already), but I just made my wife sit on hold with our bank for 25 minutes to check whether or not our money order has been cashed.  And it has been! So hopefully the NOA1 will arrive soon.

I didn't use affidavits either, I remember on my interview when I adjusted my status they guy who interview us was very friendly joking around and stuff, he didn't even look at our affidavits. this time I didn't sent joint health insurance, we used to have the policy together and I used to be the beneficiary but last year his company changed their health insurance company and it was too expensive to be together in the same policy, so I took my company's health insurance,  and my husband stayed with his. we are saving about $250 a month doing it this way (it helps paying our bills)... I hope it is not issue. other than that I sent our bank statements, the title for our new house and mortgage, joint address proof, car insurance, and photos of our vacations together and with family.

On 2/12/2018 at 12:05 PM, EmilyRosePF said:

I see the consensus is affidavits aren't needed! I would probably agree, but we included three anyway. We're a same-sex couple so we tried to cover every single base we could with our evidence.

On 2/12/2018 at 4:03 PM, jennah said:

I included 2 notarized original letters from friends, but I was told that it didn't need to be notarized from an immigration lawyer friend.  I've read from my boards that affidavits are not as important, but I included them because I didn't have mortgage or car documents either. I included joint health insurance cards though.

I think you can be creative and include anything and as long as you have any type of proof, and they will take them into consideration.

BTW, my package arrived in Vermont today in the morning, one day earlier than originally expected date.  I hope that I will get NOA soon.  Goooood luck everyone and happy Monday to you all!!!

re: affidavits. The wording on the instructions to I751 makes it sound like the affidavits are necessary.

Thanks for input guys! Seems like I'll be ok without them. Still waiting on my pictures to be sent to me to include in my package then I can send my packet :).

Thank you for all your comments!  Since they received my package on 12th, I guess I have to wait for at least 5 days for them to cash out...

I think I checked everything like 30 times and made sure everything was correct, but I am so scared that they might return my package or something...

I wish there was an option for text message notice or something.

Good to get another NOA1 added to the group. My check was cashed on 2/13 so hopefully, I should be receiving something in the mail soon.
