Your second shipment may even arrive before mine. My package was supposed to be delivered yesterday but USPS tracking says delayed and it only made it to Anaheim last night. Hopefully at some point today it will reach Laguna Niguel. Good luck with yours!

Did it say why it was delayed?? I just checked my tracking and our packet arrived in Santa Ana distribution center at 7:46am and is in transit to lock box. Maybe even there already as tracking seems to be on a delay. I hope yours arrives today!!! Keep us posted. :)

Ughhh, how annoying!! I'm just amazed that they kicked up such a fuss about there not being enough postage...yet paid for it to be sent back so quickly?! Just...cover the difference and save some money  *sigh* Too logical though, right? Anyway, hope take two goes smoothly!

Did you request for your tax transcripts in the mail? I did mine online and got them immediately.

-------------------------------------------

As for me, I finally got some paper so I'm going to be printing everything out today. :)

I did request them by mail - last time, I got them a few days after I sent the request so I figured why not do that again!

Thank you Everyone, same to you!! :) Tax transcripts usually are pretty quick to arrive. I only included our 2015 and 2016 transcripts as we didn't file our 2017 taxes yet. Are you filing at CA or VT center?

I think it's fine not to include 2017 - I filed independently in 2015, which is why I'm relying on 2016 and 2017 so at least I have 2 years of returns.

From what I've read, VT seems to be faster with the overall process, though CA is faster with the extension letters.

Hi everyone, back into the paperwork again with our ROC, sent it in on the 1st February 2018 and got back the NOA1 dated the 5th February, my went to California, now just a waiting game,.

I got my Green Card in 6-7 weeks when I adjusted status, which I was not expecting, we'll see what happens this time.

Right? I was looking at some timelines and saw some people waited almost a year, if not longer for their 10 year GC. *sigh*. Looks like we'll be keeping each other company for a while, haha.

Gotcha! Hope you get them soon! I included my 2017 tax transcript too just because it was available online when I checked, but I'm sure USCIS understands that not everyone will file their taxes this month. I just like to get it out of the way!

Nice and prompt, congrats! That's so great you got your GC in that time frame, I was waiting a year for an interview o_O. Based on what I'm seeing on VJ I think we'll all be waiting a while for our 10 year GC

Quick question for y'all, did you include affidavits from friends? I'm gonna include two just to have a little more buffer. We don't have a mortgage, car loan, shared cars (I'm on the insurance though), or children so I figured it wouldn't hurt.

I've got all my paperwork ready and printed, just waiting on the pictures to be mailed to me which should arrive by the 21st. I might ask one of our friends to mail us his affidavit just to speed up the process a bit, but he IS visiting us at the end of the month so I could technically wait until he's here to give it to me. Then I would end up filing in March and have to hop over to another thread! :crying:

I just got my NOA today from USCIS Vermont. Filed on Feb 01 then they received it on Feb 05. The problem is, my middle name in the letter is wrong. I tried calling Vermont but no luck so I just visit the website and found "Emma" virtual assistant. Was able to find on how to file for a typographic error. Submitted and will wait for their reply by march 4, 2018. 😢

Hey there, nice to see the nicely organized table for February filers. I mailed the packet on February 7th, the tracking says it got delivered on February 10th (Saturday). I am filing with California. I was eligible to apply on January 26th, but once I figured out how long it is now taking to get the second green card didn't see any point in rushing.

I did not include any affidavits. According to most here, it ranks very low on their evaluation proofs and many have commented that they received approvals without them. It's a personal preference but given how easy they can be fabricated, I chose not to include them and instead focus on more substantial proofs.

You make a good point, so I've decided not to use them. I think I have enough evidence: trips taken together, photos, bank statements, joint address proof, health insurance, car insurance + 8 going on 9 years of a relationship that I can prove in an instant. Thanks for your input!
