The freedom was fun while it lasted! Now back in the game again for RoC. I filed my I-751 today, it should reach California by Thurs 2/8. I used Priority Mail with tracking (it weighed a whopping 3lbs 8oz) cost $16.45.

I've updated this table commonly used below with the two filers who've confirmed. I've asked mods to close another thread with the same title and merge here. Good luck everyone!

Hi Everyone! We mailed our i751 packet out yesterday and our tracking number shows that our package is "Available for pickup" in the CA lock box. Hopefully they pick up their mail daily and it is not sitting there awhile. :)

That arrived fast! Perhaps you'll get NOA1 by the end of the week then...

Ok issues starting already! My tracking updated and it says "RETURN TO SENDER"! How can that be? The post office was the one who weighed the package and put postage on it. Could that be the reason, they messed up and postage wasn't enough? What else could it be...errr. I guess wait....

Since we are in FL we sent our package to:

USCIS California Service Center
P.O. Box 10751
Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075

and shipped it Priority mail Express with the USPS, no signature required.

I wonder how long it will take to get mailed back to us so I can find out why! So upset...

The exact same address I used, I also used USPS but just Priority Mail. Did not specifically say no signature, but guessing since its a P.O. Box it will just get accepted without one.

Hopefully its a bug in their system and it changes back for you. Was it a large package? I used a mailing box due to the size of the folder I sent. I did have a concern it might be too large but its what the USPS lady recommended. All kinds of things go through your mind as to why it would get rejected. Not sure they would attempt delivery if there wasn't sufficient postage on it, but I could be wrong.

Edit: One thought crossed my mind, that's if you're too early filling? Since USCIS will refuse your application unless you're within the 90-day timeframe of your GC expiring. (checked your timeline but couldn't find anything about that).

I figured the same, since it is a P.O. box no signature would be appropriate. It wasn't that large, large enough to fit an envelope inside it that contained our packet which is printed on standard 8.5x11 computer paper.. nothing crazy big at all. I guess I just have to wait and see, it's going to drive me crazy though not knowing why! I wonder if the lock box was full, can that happen!?

See my above comment about whether you're premature filing I-751?

I'm speculating but I would imagine if the lockbox was full or the package was too large then it would be held at the PO, but given the volume that USCIS must receive on a daily basis, I doubt either of these occurrences are common. (Source: https://www.usps.com/manage/po-boxes.htm)

Now I'm really confused, this is what my status states now. "Returned to sender because it could not be delivered as addressed". What does that mean? It got to the CA lockbox no problem, address was correct so now I'm at a loss.

Now I'm really confused, this is what my status states now. "Returned to sender because it could not be delivered as addressed". What does that mean? It got to the CA lockbox no problem, address was correct so now I'm at a loss.

If you search that reason here most of the people said it was either a case of not enough postage paid or an error made by the mail clerk. I'm not reading anything about mailboxes being full or nobody being around to sign for them. I feel for you, waiting to find out why would frustrate me like crazy.
