Hello Everyone,

I filled a I-130 and I-130A petition to Phoenix AZ February 12th and I am still waiting on confirmation. My husband and i got married December 2017 and he already has a tourist visa. I checked to see if the money order was cashed and it hasn't. Any one else filling in February like me?

that was less than a week ago, and mail, USCIS and all government office are closed for presidents day today. I would say relax and if still nothing by end of week then you can call and talk to them.

Hello Everyone,

I filed a I-130 and I-130A petition February 12th 2018 to Phoenix AZ. I also filled out the form for email and text notification.

I saw the instruction and whole punched on the top and put them in these green folders i have at work that are easy to take out and throw out. I have checked to see if the money order has been cashed and they report it has not.

My husband already has a tourist visa so for the supportive documentation i sent in all proof of his visa and that he comes to see me every time and affidavit letters. We don't live together or have anything on both of our names so i hope that is enough.

I feel like his tourist visa went so quickly and painlessly. I am sure it was because we hired a lawyer for that one but on this one i went ahead and did it on my own.

Anxiously waiting for my first notification. I truly hope it was accepted and that i filled it out properly.

Unfortunately this process takes a long time. Patience is definitely a virtue with this! It could take up to a month to get your first notification, which will just be telling you that they have received your petition and which service centre it will be sent to. After that the real waiting begins!

Good luck!

I’ve seen a lot to Chicago. Sounds like they at least respond quickly to the initial petition. I think I’m the only one that had to file at the Phoenix AZ lockbox.

Ah I see, we sent ours with overnight shipping so I'm hoping to get NOA1 relatively soon, by the end of the week/early next week would be great

I did the exact same thing and was able to see who signed it. I didn’t want to leave it up to chance as to no knowing if they got it or the lengthy days of it getting there so I paid it to be overnighted. They received mine on the 13th of February and have yet to hear anything. Really hoping to get my NOA1 by at least by this Friday.

I would be very surprised if it didn't come by then, it's usually under a week so its definitely due, although sometimes people don't get the e-notification and have to wait for the hard copy, did you fill out form g-1145?

Yea I did I even made sure to place it as the first document they see when they open it. I really hope I do hear back because they say If you don’t hear back within the first two weeks it means something was wrong with the application and they are sending it back and that can take up to two months. This would take time away from the process in itself

I wouldn't be massively worried, the form i-130 is quite difficult to mess up, also you need to account for president's day so there will be a small back log and like you say phoenix is a bit slower than chicago
