  • Bring two copies of the printed confirmation of address registration to the visa interview.  Passports for all of the people included in the immigration case must be registered, and the printed confirmation must include information for every person and his or her passport. If the confirmation page(s) are not brought to the Embassy on the day of the interview or do not include information related to all of the people and passports, your interview will be rescheduled.

Do you guys know what they want by the address registration? and where do we get our passport registered ?

They are referring to the printed copy of the ds-160 confirmation page.....which indicates the passport of the person obtaining the Visa.

You need the ds160 printed confirmation for each person in your Visa group.

You alone or you and whoever is immigrating with you.

The NVC just wrote back to say that they returned our files to the USCIS.

Is this usual or is it sent to the embassy?

This is not usual at all. The NVC usually sends your file to your embassy after they've processed it and given it a case number.

Did they tell you why it was returned?

As I understand from other cases - there will be a memo as to why it was returned?

Either NVC sent it back or USCIS recalled it -

...something is missing

.....something came up

something prevents NVC to move it forward....

yes, it happens....find out what the issue is...

You, the petitioner, do not need your birth certificate.

The beneficiary, in Brasil will need one certified copy and one regular copy of birth certificate.

same for the police certificates (federal & state)

same for any divorce decree

My flight to Rio was cancelled so I have to catch the next flight.

Which will have me landing in Rio right as my fiancee's interview is ending :(

I'm in tears. I'm sure everything will be fine, but I was really looking forward to joining him.

But on the bright side...the interview is TOMORROW!!! :D

Don't feel bad, Janay.

I was there - the interview was little more than 5 minutes.

The whole process is quiet and calm.

I stood there, listened - said nothing.

He will be just fine.

When you land, he will call you with good news - and you can go celebrate.

Best of luck and be safe.

"In preparation for the interview, each applicant must have and bring a copy of his or her CEAC confirmation page, passport, Aramex registration and medical reports. Also, all original documents must be shown at the interview".....

I don't understand why they would mention it twice. They already listed CEAC confirmation page as you see above. Could they be referring to the confirmation page you get once you schedule your appointment online?
