I have a Social Security Card with my married name, but now that I have my gc do I need to get a new one without the DHS authorization note on it?

Interview was today, and GC approved.  It was about 35 to 40 minutes with standard questions.

 

All told, about 80 days from filing to approval.  We feel lucky.

 

Now all we need is to get the card in the mail.

Just got update notice from USCIS that my green card is mailed to me as of 5/9/2018. Approval date: 5/3/2018, card in production 5/3/2018.

Mine did, not sure if this applies to everyone.

 

Just got anohter update with USPS tracking number, and USPS website says it will arrive on Friday.

It depends. I was approved on the spot May 7. Same day the tracker was updated to Card in Production. The day after it was updated to case is approved. I am still waiting for the approval letter hopefully today or tomorrow.

I would suggest you to have both insurance (life and health)  from your husband's work coz that adds credibility  and that is the first requirements  that IO will ask you on your interview.

There is a Filipina from New Orleans who received an update on her case yesterday. She filed April 2, 2018 and bio appt was supposed to be may 5 but she wasn't able to do it coz she needs to renew her passport. She req
