Tomi Lahren, Texas' latest political provocateur, is at it again with her latest Halloween costumes.

Wearing a "Make America Great Again" one piece, a fanny pack and flag like wings, Lahren posted a photo of herself to Instagram with the caption: "Oh LA get ready to find your safe spaces! What am I? Well if you're a conservative, I'm American AF. If you're a lib, I'm 'offensive.' Let's go."

The only knee I will take is for her hand in marriage, but alas I am already happily married.

So the hole violation of the flag code doesn't bother you?

Don't we all love how fluid people can be when it comes to what disrespects our country and its symbols?

Kneeling during a song - Horrible, scum of the Earth, one of the worst things you can do

Wearing our Nation's flag in a "sexy outfit" - Completely appropriately, very mature, very respectable, incredibly "Pro-America"

(For the record I don't care about either way. She can wear, or not wear, whatever she wants. Just like people can kneel, sit, stand, handstand).

I am one to pretty much have always said I don't think the kneeling is disrespectful to the country. But what I don't like and I won't tolerate how these players are doing it on my time. Sorry I choose to watch you on the football field not being a SJW. If you want to do then fine, go and do that off the field. Don't be doing that on the field when all I want is to gt away from life for 3 hours and watch Football.  Also what really pissed me off about it is that all the media was talking about it like: what is so an so doing this week, look at so and so doing that. It made me mad to see that haphazard reporting.

Technically she is against code for the flag but pretty much we all are if we have the flag on some apparel. Also she looks so damn sexy in it. :jest:

You failed to mention intent.  Don't you know that intent means everything?

You aren't innocent just because you weren't "intending" to offend the nation, the flag, someone etc... That can apply to any situation. You can accidentally offend. Maybe we can let you off lightly if it was unintentional, but that doesn't mean you weren't offensive.

If intent really does matter - It is not the football player's intention to discredit or dishonor our military, which has been one of the common complaints. Their intent is to peacefully protest certain prevailing viewpoints and actions in our country.

So if you really care about intent, they are intending to be disrespectful. So I guess we are good then?

I would not presume to tell him what he can or cannot investigate. Most of his current investigation (with the excemption of what was made public Monday) is not public knowledge. It would be presumptious to tell him he "has" to investigate anything in particular.

The song is going to be played regardless of whether they stand or kneel. The song lasts the same length. The game will play regardless.

How does their kneeling impact "your time"? You will get the same football game viewing out of the experience. You can also similarly get the same opportunity to stand for the Anthem if you so choose. Them kneeling does absoutely nothing to your time, and it seems pretty overly sensitive for someone to suggest that players taking the knee for a 3 minute (or less) song somehow "ruins" the entire football watching experience.

I agree with you on the reporting aspect. I don't watch football so I definitely don't watch the sports-related news but if I was a sports person I would prefer the "sports analysis" type news not to talk about it. The regular news can, since it is a political protest, but the "sports analysis" shows that happen pre/post game should just stick the game. I wasn't aware that they were dwelling on it that much, since I don't watch.

I also don't find it particularly disrespectful, though I would generally stand myself (can't remember the last time I was in a public place with the National Anthem playing...I've been in public with the Thai National Anthem and the UK National Anthem more recently, and stood for both). That being said, since someone else kneeling does not impact my actions during the song, I really wouldn't care. If they were jumping up and down screaming during the anthem I would have a problem. If they just want to take a knee, I don't lose anything from that.

I'm not going to take the word of the football players about their intent.  Their intent is clear to me and millions of other Americans, even if it doesn't appear clear to you.  Her intent also seems perfectly clear.  Since you say intent matters, then yeah, I guess we are good.
