Well...everybody gets discriminated against by somebody at some point in their lives, I gather.

Dogs probably discriminate against cats...hence all that barking and hissing.

True. You can be either passive or active towards the situation. Learn from history, or is that considered elitist in trump's world? Hahaha.

Most of history is probably just "alternative facts" according to the Trump team.

The rats are slowly taking over the subway...at least in NY.

The other day I spotted a HUGE one causally walking along the platform in between people, as though it were out for a Sunday stroll.  BIGLY!

You should try it sometime! Expensive but fun. Avoid the bakerloo and northern line if possible. Overheated and crushed.

I have been to over 30 countries and would put US pretty high on the list on that list of talk about racism etc, but pretty low on the actuality.

Sadly some sections of society would rather concentrate on identity politics than reality.

Thank you for laying out a critical topic in such personal terms. There are many in this forum and in this country who do not see racism, xenophobia or hatred of Islam as an issue that seriously afflicts America. I doubt you will find encouragement from folks with those views. America is a great country with the capacity to get through its current strife, but right now it is painful to watch and experience the struggle.

You should be encouraged, sadly CEHEST is not the best place to get that support.

Thank you for your comments and I agree this is not the forum for this conversation (sadly).

Yeah, even though Jews are still targeted more than blacks and Muslims, as someone that's also been to dozens of other places I definitely agree the US is nowhere near as bad as most of them.

The amusing thing is that often these comments come from Countries that are significantly worse.

Three Moroccan citizens were arrested in that awful terrorist attack in Spain this week. Then an 18 year old Moroccan was arrested in Finland for committing a terrorist attack. Such hatred.

I did a little research on Morocco. You can be arrested for preaching any religion other than Islam. So a Christian or Jew preaching there can be arrested. Very bigoted and hateful.

Moroccoan treatement of gays is abysmal.

I think anyone immigrating from Morocco to the USA is leaving a much more bigoted and hate filled country and entering a more enlighten and open society (albeit imperfect like all nations).

There must be a reason that Marrakech has reputation of gay capital. Is it allowed by law? No, but as long as you don't talk about it no one cares in Morocco.

Kind of the "don't ask, don't tell" previous mentality as in the US army.

That you leave a physical abusing husband doesn't mean you have to be ok with a mentally abusing husband because it's less painful.

I have encountered ignorant people through out my whole life who have said the most stupid and offensive things. People from different cultures, white, colored, religious, non religious. I could have let that be an influence on my life, I choose not too.
