My husband is a USC but when he filed for me, he was a GC holder.

I had my AOS interview on feb 6 in San Jose and my interview was smooth; However, I haven't heard from USCIS. We have been married for just over 2 yrs (Jan 2018 we had our second anniversary).

when should I contact USCIS to check the status of my AOS interview?

Possibly 30 days after? I’d contact them by then...

What is your PD? (When did you guys file?)

They might be working on producing your 10 year green card and checking that your husband is now a USC, let’s hope for the best and that you receive news soon 😊

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)

August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4

RFIE on AOS...

The number of RFEs and RFIEs issued after the 180 day mark (August filers mostly) is crazy, mostly because it’s been a long time without updates and we get this type of update which can be a little unexpected at this point. But I read somewhere here on VJ that the number of RFE/RFIEs sent have increased by 50% over the last year (due to “change of administration” according to what I’ve read). So it is probably starting to become the rule. Mine took 4 business days to arrive, received the status update on a Wednesday, and it arrived on a Saturday so you will possibly get yours in the mail by ~Saturday or Friday. We just sent our response today and it will arrive there (NBC) tomorrow at noon. Although, it seems that the clock is not completely resetting for people here who got RFIEs maybe because our cases are taking a long time already by themselves and are over the 190 days waiting time (and a bunch of us don’t even have EAD/AP yet. Day 207 for me without EAD 😅). Try to not stress out so much until you get the letter in the mail and see what it is about, let us know and we will try to help 💜 We are all here to help each other in these hard times ☺️

Hey congrats that’s awesome! :)

so cool both of your parents can now work and that the RFE didn’t affect your I485.

Guys, I had started thinking this day would never come...

For those still waiting, I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to your Senator/Congress folks and the Ombudsman. I wrote a desperate email to both yesterday, and today my card finally is in production. Thanks a ton to @dt101 and @Aviinashh for the tips on what to do.

Yes! I do have Informed Delivery as well. Let me know when you receive your card!

My AP is still at "case was received" but I'm guessing/hoping that this is a combo card (only my EAD updated)...

OMG i didn't realize you got married in 2016 not 2017! Yes, it actually seems like it would be better if your AOS case was delayed enough to get the 10 year GC!
