Yep - just received the letter today :)

Weird thing is the letter was dated July 19th lol

Ugh see thats so crazy. Not sure if its USPS taking so long, or the USCIS taking so long to physically get it in the mail.

I'm happy I have a boss that is flexible about things like that, but having a week or two sometimes may be hard for people to arrange for work/childcare etc.

- Removal of Conditions Timeline -

07/31/17 - Mailed I-751 package to California Service Center

08/01/17 - Package delivered to CSC

08/05/17 - NOA1 received by US mail

08/10/18 - Rec'd new NOA1 with 18 month extension instead of 12 months

Hi Everyone!

Apologies in advance for the long description....

We will be filing for ROC soon GC expires in 2 months. We are not sure if the evidence would suffice.

Me and my husband (born in the US but brought up in another country) moved here in 2015 and got married the same year after dating for 7 years and filed for AOS, since the both of us started living here not before 2015 we don't really own any property nor do we have any family here. In order to avoid too many credit checks one of us would get the utility and the other would get the lease,

we used to have a joint account (had to close it since we moved to a state where that particular bank did not have a branch) we have moved to 5 different states in the past 2 years and have address proofs for all of them but not with both our names on them.

we do have joint health insurance, car insurance, credit cards where we have added each other as authorized users, hospital bills cze we were in a car accident, flight details, tax returns filed jointly for 2 years, Costco membership. We don't have a joint bank account but we have cash transfers from each other over the months(we opened separate bank accounts for the sign up bonus...lol). We have traveled to 3 countries in these 2 years and have included them as well as the trips we have taken in the U.S.  Are these evidences enough ?

Any response will be appreciated.

Thank You!

I think that should be enough.. The fact that you have separate bank accounts, might raise a red flag to USCIS. But the residential lease should be in both names.

Send two affidavits of your relationship from 2 separate friends.

Make copies of your membership cards to Costco, gym etc, credit cards, etc. But the one thing I would honestly do is have the lease in both names. That's rather important

Thank you so much 😊 really appreciate it.

I just added my husband to my bank account and made it a joint account atleast I will have statements if they need more evidence in future.

With regards to the affidavits, do they have to be US citizens or LPR's?  We have friends here but since we have been moving a lot it's hard to keep in touch and not everyone is a US citizen. Most people we know since years are in the U.K and India. I have a close friend here in the US who has known us from almost 8 years but she is on a non immigrant visa .

Also do they have to be notarized?

You're welcome :) I hope you get everything together.

The affidavits have to be filled out by US citizens I believe, and they must be notarized for sure.

I would talk to an attorney and see what else they suggest. You can often get a free consultation.
