I have a question my passport will expire at Septempter , I cant renew and I must apply for a new one which is will cost me really big money around 2000 $ because my original country is at very bad situation (civil war ) . Please how I will be able to extend my letter ? I dont want to travel or change my work and my driver licence valid till 2022 ? Do I still need to get the info pass thing ? I appreciate you all . I am August 11 2017 ROC .

You can’t extend without a valid passport.  If you don’t plan to travel or get new employment then you don’t need the stamp necessarily.

Is there an embassy in the US where you can go get a new passport? That’s a LOT of money, sorry it’s so much! It’s good to have a valid passport if you can..

If you aren't changing your job nor leaving the country, then you should be OK. You also might get another extension letter. 

Removing Conditions Timeline

Aug. 10, '17: Mailed in I-751

Aug. 21, '17: NOA1

October 23, '18: NOA2- approval

October 30, 18: 10-year GC received

A little share regarding the stamp.

My GC was expired on 9/17, 2017, and thus, the extension letter is set to be expired on 9/16, 2018. ROC is Aug. 31st.

I went to infopass at the field office of Long Island, NY yesterday and got the stamp without any question.

Did you get 1 year extension?

Chicago is giving only 6 months

I really don't know what is the letter could be. I checked the website still show me that my case at the local office on April 9. My ROC notice is 08/11/2017. My heart is racing ? is it possible this the new extension letter?  Is it possible approval without any update on their website ? is this happen before?

It could be any of those :) in the past I would receive USCIS updates the day after I received letters in the mail

It seems like it's a good news. You can see the statue of freedom in the middle of paper and it has two pages. Albeit it's possible it could be RFE with two pages without statue of freedom, in your letter you can clearly see the statue of freedom which often comes with approval. 

Any RFE paper does not have that statue.

Man, I am having now high blood pressure some dizzy. I wish the mailman come faster. I hope it is good news . has anyone receive something like this before?

It is possible to receive approval or RFE without the status on the websites changing, uncommon but it does happen. Hope it's good news!

 

Now that I think about it, you can call USCIS to see if they can tell you what the letter is, I think they can do that.
