Senate kills GOP skinny obamacare repeal bill

I don't know you guys, but I'm extremely proud. 

A lot of us are in the process of legally moving to the U.S, and the current political climate scares the living hell out of me 

But, It makes me happy to know that the vast majority doesn't support him and this didn't pass. 

It gives me hope.

I can't understand that way of thinking whatsoever. They will own not doing what they could, regardless. We'll see where this debacle ends up. 

In my opinion it's even worse than not doing anything while someone commits suicide. These politicians are paid by the taxpayers and sworn to serve the people and perform their duties for the greater good of the people, they have a legal responsibility to do this. If someone wants to commit suicide, you are under no legal obligation to stop them.

The majority of people and congress don't support him either. Although the GOP has majority, he has to get Pence to cast the tiebreaker.

Well, this is CNN, so it must be fake news. I am sure Fox is reporting this fiasco as one of the major accomplishments of the Trump administration so far.

 

The irony, is that in the end, this was a major win for the American people. I don't understand what the representatives are not celebrating.

On Tuesday, McCain was a conservative hero, scorned by liberals as a hypocrite. By early Friday morning he was back in liberals’ good graces, the subject of some grumbling from Republicans and on the receiving end of a pointed tweet from President Trump, who earlier in the week had called him a “Brave — American hero!”

McCain’s decisive vote, after 1 a.m. Friday, to oppose McConnell, Trump and the overwhelming majority of Senate Republicans on the effort to revamp the Affordable Care Act will help define his career. It was an encapsulation, in less than 60 hours, of how often he goes from friend to foe.
