It'll first update that you are inline for oath scheduling, and then update that the oath ceremony has been scheduled, and then update that the oath ceremony letter has been mailed out. Some members have reported that their status "skipped" one of the first two updates.

Considering my field office is Minneapolis, MN... 5 months was actually pretty good. I got the letter 1/11. My original interview was supposed to take place in Fargo, ND. When I called USCIS about the descheduling, they said the system often automatically generates interview dates and sometimes the dates are actually not available.

- Filed on July 8th, 2016

- NOA on July 11th, 2016 (California Service Center)

- Biometrics done on August 4th, 2016

- Pending ever since

N-400:

- Filed under the 90 days before 3 years rule

- Filed on July 11th, 2017 at the Phoenix Lock Box

- NOA on July 17th, 2017 (NBC)

- Moved to a different state after a week of applying for N-400

- Filled address change form online the day I moved

- Had an infopass appointment to get a I-551 extension stamp on July 28, 2017

- Biometrics appointment got sent to old address, so I received it late through USPS mail forwarding. Made an Infopass appointment and I was told that the address change did not go through for some reason. Then was directed to go to the local ASC as a walk in for biometrics.

- Biometrics completed on August 10, 2017 as a walk in

- USCIS Case Status online changed to "Case In Line for Interview" on August 28th, 2017

Oath scheduled for 2/23/2018.

Interview letter (dated 12/28/2017 received on 01/2/2018)

Interview on 2/1/2018 (I had a combo interview as my I751 was still pending. The Officer asked my family to come into the her office and we did the I751 interview first. It was very basic questions about the info I had on the form. It took less than 15 minutes and she approved it and stamped and signed it. Afterwards, she led my family to the waiting area and came back for the N400. She administer the writing and reading test first before the civic test...6 questions and that was it. She was such a sweet lady and very friendly. She asked me to wait by her Supervisor's office as she went into his office with my files. She asked me to wait as the Supervisor will need to review it. Less than 15 minutes later, the Supervisor came out with my oath ceremony letter. )

Oath scheduled for 2/23/2018.

@Kuzzy Congratulations first of all, now i wanna ask you how did you know it was a combine interview? The letter you received specified to bring spouse? or you brought them just in case ! I'm in a same situation like you, Thank you in advance and good Luck to all

GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.

Thanks. The letter was for N400 interview and it did not state anything concerning I751. Since I had a pending I751 application, I know that most likely the files would have been combined (I believe NBC requested for the I751 from the Service Center and merged it with N400). It is a safe bet to go to the interview with my family to avoid having to come back for my I751 interview.
