Some of us are in the same worry boat as you, including myself. Some get it about 1 or so weeks after getting their NOA1 and are on the aforementioned boat.

We can't track until we get the Biometrics letter as that number is the tracking number.  Maybe if you call them , you will get that nice lady as Anna51 got (she told Anna51 her case number).  .

Ok thanks I will ask my husband to give them a call. I hope u get yours soon.

What phone number should I call?

Thanks in advance.

sorry for the delay in reply...  800 375 5283 . then 1-english then * then 4 then 1 then 3 then 2 ... if no one is available , then you will hear a long drawn out message. Try again and and again and again.....  Once I tried but not pressing 1 for English and pretended that I had a rotary phone.  I am going to have to call again next week for them to submit a request on why I have not gotten my letter as it would be 45 plus days since I got my NOA/i797.

Soon I will have to walk around with my i797 letter just in case I get stopped.  I am going to presume that all of us will have to do this as GC is currently or will be expired ( regardless if we did biometrics or not).

Hi, I have a question to applicants who already went thru biometrics. I tried to look up my case status on USCIS website, entered 13 digit case number from NOA letter and received an error message. Did it work for anyone?

The only receipt number that works to look up your case status is the second of the two numbers that appear on your biometrics notice. The first number, which also appears on the NOA/extension letter, can't be used to track it.

That is what I was afraid of! I misplaced my biometrics letter ... Thank you

I have a couple of questions:

1) What is considered too little evidence, meaning, how many pieces of evidence is needed usually?  For example... Is it enough to have a joint bank account with multiple bank statements extended for a couple of years, electricity bills (multiple over a period of a few years), maybe airplane tickets for a vacation with a hotel reservation, taxes filed as married, and some pictures of us together... is that enough you think for ROC packet?

2 ) Also, I noticed that there was no mention of providing affidavit of support or financial sponsorship in the process of applying for ROC mentioned by vj members.  So that means we no longer need to show that we have sufficient income evidence (or have a sponsor) while applying for ROC?

I still have not received my biometrics letter (NoA date: 7/31/17). I called one week ago to USCIS (1, 2, 2, 2) and the person who answer me told me that I can track my case with the NoA number and not to worry. Obviously he did not know what he was talking about. I'll try calling again next week, hopefully I have better look if try the sequence recommended above: 1, 4, 1, 3, 2

Very disturbing... Shame on USPS! (I know they have to handle millions of mail everyday and they loose very few of them but it is never funny when it's happen to you)

I agree with you! Especially when they loose your GC in mail like mine.

I feel like I began to be afraid of having deal with USPS..

In 2014 we sent a package with a paperwork  to evaluate school/university scores in to USA credits. Evaluation centers are only working with originals, no copies. So, yes, original  Diplomas and  academic transcripts were sent.

Tracking # showed it was delivered and signed. Great! But in some time we learnt the EC has never received our package. So, we filed a claim with USPS, and meanwhile started our own "investigation". We found the company our packet was delivered by mistake, contacted them and they were nice to drop it to Evaluation Center, which was just few steps away from the company.. and from the USPS Office as well.

Of course, we have never heard anything back from USPS  - they have not even tried to contact the company, despite the fact the signature and address was really easy to track... for us, at least.

Now - 2 USCIS letters (NOA & ACS Appointment) have not been delivered to us...

I understand things happen, but every time I have to mail something important, with sensitive info inside -  freaks me out until package is delivered..  And what happened to janet&adonis   - just horrible...

I completely understand! They lost my GC! I am so worried that I will never receive it... I can't believe such document is not required to be delivered in person! Good thing you found yours..

You are absolutely right! I am in even bigger stress. My green card was lost in mail and I was doing so many investigations and all of them unsuccessful. I had to apply for the replacement one which has not even been processed yet and now I am supposed to be filing for the removal of conditions.  I am really confused though because I never received a green card so I don't know when it would expire. In some other materials they say it's two-year anniversary of me becoming a resident and  nobody in their call center can answer this question either...

Hi all!!

We got our NOA letter on July 27th, but still haven't heard anything about the biometrics appointment. Should I be panicking? It's been almost two months! I've tried looking up our case status online, but according to our NOA1 letter, we can't find our case status until we get our biometrics letter. I called the USCIS back in August to see what was going on and they told me to wait 45 to 90 days and if I haven't heard anything, to call back. Any other late July filers still waiting for their biometrics letter?

I am waiting too. Received my NOA1 at the end of July. I recently called and asked them to open an investigation on my missing letter. I don't know if it helps or not, but I figure at least there is a history of me asking about the letter in case it got lost in the mail and I miss the appointment date.
