Today I got the same email as someone previously received. I had called on 08/25 and told them about not receiving the bio appointment. Here is a part of the email: 

 

"The status of this service request is:

On 08/25/2017, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-751 regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC).  Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved. 

We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you.

We hope this information is helpful to you."

I don't recall that the I-751 Receipt Notice said anything about processing period.

What's the info in that regard?

Alright then... 

How are you guys getting these emails? Did you submit an online request to find out why no biometric letter as yet? 

 

ps: I am now stressing about my driver's license as that expires soon. As per the letter I got from the DMV,  I sent in my extension letter (i797)/ passport pic page and bio info/ back and front of driver license/ ssn/ cell # just in case they need to call me on Aug 16th. Anyone had to do this?   If so, how long did it take to get? Trying to call DMV ( ha) to see if I can get an update to it.

Yes I am still waiting to get my biometric letter. I would love to know why it is taking so long as there are several of us who are still waiting . I guess each center is taking turns ( VSC is faster now when CSC was faster earlier)? Or they are focused on the  DACA cases? 

 

I will call back mid September as I was last told to do. They will put in a request to find out why I am not scheduled. More recent posts  says they got an email and/or were told there is a backlog.

Had my appointment today. Took me less then 5 minutes. It was empty - nobody except me and 3 workers including security guard.

My bio metric done on 09/05/2017. When I reached at the center, I asked the security personal with my photocopy bio metric letter that,
Can you verify this is the time and location.

 

He asked my ID, I gave him my Driving License. He checked and put a stamp on my photocopy bio metric letter.

I told him this is photocopy, You have to stamp on original not on photocopy. He replied, not worry we will give you the biometric letter to you.
It doesn't matter , It is photocopy or original. 

 

My bio metric done smoothly and at the end, they gave my bio metric letter with stamp and another copy where my personal details are mentioned which i filled in the support center.

 

Now I have original bio metric letter with no stamp and photocopy bio metric letter with stamp.

 

Is everything OK or I have do something ?

You've done everything right. You should be good.

I just called and was allowed to file a request on my missing ASC Bio metrics (I called on 9/1 and was not given option to do so). It's very frustrating to not have tracking on this! I know there are waits on everything, but anxiety goes up when you aren't sure if they letter was lost in the mail or just delayed. Hoping I get the letter soon!

Thursday's biometrics appointment went great.  No issues.

 

They got a little confused when we listed the previous names my wife has legally gone by.  She never changed her name from marriage, so that wasn't the issue, however, my wife has gone by an abbreviation of her name before when in school, and also lived about 21 years of her life thinking she had two middle names instead of a hyphenated last name...(example...Sue Mary Bob Smith was first, middle, middle, last, when in reality her birth certificate said Sue Mary Bob-Smith).  The officer though, once my wife explained how her parents named her (mom made it hyphen last name, dad thought it was two middle) realized it was no issue.

I called the USCIS and they said that I've not been assigned an appointment date as yet. He stated the date of my last bio was in 2015 and I might be required to have one. I don't know man; forgot how hard this wait was.
